Chasing Cadence are premiering their new video for Watching The World, exclusively with Kerrang!.
The clip is the second in the Hertfordshire alt.rockers’ cinematic trilogy, based on their Destroy Something Beautiful EP – which is out now. Pick it up now at this link!
“I guess there is kind of a hidden concept behind the entire trilogy concept,” explains guitarist Rob Barlow. “The fact that being in a band leaves you pretty penniless and if you want to succeed, sometimes you’ve got to be a bit of a bad guy and take no prisoners. If you want to truly succeed, sometimes you need to make sacrifices.”
Of the track itself, the band say: “Watching The World is in a similar vein to [previous single] ‘Everyone Relax’ in that it’s about pushing forward in life, working relentlessly to achieve your goals even though sometimes it may feel like you’re going backwards. It’s also a call to action for those people who are just wasting their life away ‘watching the world go by’ to get up and do something with their lives: find something they’re good at, search for a passion, discover a dream and pursue it!”
