Reading And Leeds line-up announced

Nine Inch Nails, The Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to play The Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds, which takes place on August 24 - 26.

The weekend festival will mark the first time the Smashing Pumpkins have played the UK since their split in 2000. Their last UK show was at Wembley Arena in November that year.

The bands confirmed for the festival are as follows: Reading, 24/Leeds, 25 - Kings Of Leon, Gogol Bordello (main stage), Ash, Enter Shikari (Radio 1 stage). Reading, 25/Leeds, 26 - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Panic! At The Disco, Angels & Airwaves (main stage), We Are Scientists, Biffy Clyro (Radio 1 stage). Reading, 26/Leeds, 24 - Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Lostprophets, Fall Out Boy (all main stage).

More acts will be announced soon.

Tickets for the three-day event, which include camping and parking, are priced at £145 each plus booking fee. Day ticket information will be made available soon. They're available by calling Aloud on 0870 998 8888 or by visiting www.aloud.com.

Tickets are strictly limited to a maximum of six per household - for those booking by telephone or online - or a maximum of four per person for those purchasing tickets at the Mean Fiddler booking offices.
