Aiden, Biffy Clyro, Mastodon and Billy Talent For Download 2007!

Aiden, Biffy Clyro, Mastodon and Billy Talent have been added to the ever-expanding line-up of the K!-sponsored Download Festival.
This year's event, which takes place on June 8, 9 and 10, will mark the third time Ayrshire trio Biffy Clyro have appeared at Download. The band - who will be fresh off their own headlining tour in support of their fourth album 'Puzzle' - are relishing the chance to play some new songs before a festival crowd.
"It's great to be part of such an exciting event, in such legendary surroundings," says Neil. "We've got a great slot on the second stage and can't wait to play some songs from our new album 'Puzzle'. It'll be a perfect chance for people to get their lighters out. But the last thing anyone wants is the tent to get burned down, so be careful!"
Mastodon are equally excited about playing the UK's biggest rock and metal festival. For drummer Brann Dailor, it'll also be a chance to catch up and share road stories with old friends.
"Download is one of those festivals," says Dailor. "It rules. We're friends with Maiden, Lamb Of God, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage and My Chemical Romance. That's one of the best parts of playing these type of shows.
"Festival tours are always pretty rigorous - more than other tours," he adds. "It's really tiring, and the shows are massive and really nerve-wracking. They are so much fun, though. And it's the only time you get to see a whole bunch of cool bands, because we are usually on tour. You keep hearing about great shows that come to your hometown, but you miss them, cos you're playing your own shows."
"We're seriously so stoked to be back playing Download for the second year," says Aiden singer wiL Francis. "We had such a blast last year, and to be playing the main stage this year will be awesome. I am so excited to be sharing a stage with Marilyn Manson, he puts on such an amazing show, but we're going to be a tough act to follow! Download had better be ready, we're gonna tear the place apart!"
Billy Talent will return to headline the second stage after last year's successful appearance. But can the Canadian punks wait?
"We can't fucking wait!" says frontman Ben Kowalewicz. "I just remember last year pulling up and being in awe of everything that I was seeing. There were people everywhere! This year should be equally amazing as we get to headline and close the second stage."
Other new additions to the festival line-up include Papa Roach, Hellyeah, Kids In Glass Houses, From Autumn To Ashes, Hinder, Reuben, Reel Big Fish and Between The Trees.
