Legendary mock-rock band Spinal Tap have been confirmed to play this year's Live Earth concert at Wembley Stadium in London on July 7.
Best known for their big-bottomed loving in the 1984 movie classic, 'This Is Spinal Tap', the band (featuring Nigel Tufnel (played by Christopher Guest), singer David St Hubbins (Michael McKean) and bassist Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) have composed a special song for the environmental awareness gig called 'Warmer Than Hell'.
The movie's director Rob Reiner has commented on the band's appearance: "They're not that environmentally conscious, but they've heard of global warming," said Reiner. "Nigel thought it was just because he was wearing too much clothing - that if he just took his jacket off it would be cooler."
