System Of A Down mainman's new band

System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian recently threw a special party at an intimate bar in Hollywood to celebrate the album release from Fair To Midland, the latest signings to his Serjical Strike label.

Tankian - pictured with vocalist Darroh Sudderth - acted as executive producer on the band's album, 'Fables Of A Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times Is True'.

"I gave my two cents in on everything and worked closely with the producer and made comments on the music during the production process," explains Tankian. "I was really into the music and I went to see them live. I thought that their live show was undeniably powerful and signed them a couple of months later. They're a great band."

Tankian has hinted he may make the journey to Donington when Fair To Midland play Download 2007 on June 10.

"Right now, I'm just trying to finish mixing my record and working on that," he smiles. "But you never know. If I'm in the neighbourhood, I'm there!"

'Fables Of A Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times Is True' will be released on June 11 through Serjical Strike/Universal.
