to be fair the used are by far the better band. they still have a decent percentage (though lack alot of what they had a few year back) of pure roarness especially live, where as mcr are way to polished and well to put it nicely sell outs. the black parade was an awesome album, but just because they produced a good album didnt mean they had to go pure shite live (which they have). i saw them start the month in new jersey expecting to be blown away and they were fuckign shite !!

I do a lot of freelance photography for bands who come play in wales and I heard that Bert likes making friends with people who are as fucked up as he is which kind of makes sense considering how quickly he and Wil Francis became friends. When Gerrard cleaned up from what I was told Bert interperated that as a "fuck you I'm better than you", It was also told to me that the green eye monster was lurking in the shadows because a large number of US taste of chaos fans were leaving before the used came on at some shows. Anyway this was something I was told on a photograhy job it may all be bullshit but who knows, I wouldn't take anything as gospel unless I heard it from one of them

I think it's quite brave to say that "'Pretty Handsome Awkward' isn't about Gerard Way. An admission it was would probably generate more interest in that particular song as people would want to find out what he had to say about it. I also thought it was tackful that he said "he'd rather not talk about it" so hopefully future interviewers will take note and try not to shift the focus onto the past and mindless bitching, instead letting the fans hear about something new for once.

I have heard so may stories that I am not sure if any of them are true! MCR make amazing music. They belive in themselves and they are in it for all the right reasons. We all have our own opinions about who, in our own eyes, are the best band. They may differ to someone else's views but that's what sets us all apart.

Everybody across the world listens to different music, different genres of music. So why must people argue about what band is better.

If you don't like My Chemical Romance you won't think they're a great band, if you don't like The Used you won't think they are a great band.

actually, if somebody quits doing drugs, the BEST thing one of their old drug-buddies can do is cut ties, because otherwise they risk getting them back into old ways.

i've had friends who've gotten over addictions, i'm currently still a recreational drug user (but i have to keep it in check...i only take pills, speed and cannabis, and mostly occaisionally, but i go through phases where i do it all the time) and when my friends are coming off drugs, i avoid them for a while, to let them make a clean break.

likewise, when i'm leaving drugs or booze alone for a while, i stay away from my drug user friends (although i usually don't just cut them off, i just send a mass text message saying "i'm off the drugs, i'll call you when i'm partying again")

Grow up! I am fan of both MCR and The Used. Id they don't like each other, so what. I care about the music, not the relationship between every band I listen to? The Used is a bunch of great guys, so ar MCR. Maybe the should take their little fight privat and not argue in the media, but whatever. When it all comes down to all, you should base your favourite music after if you like the sound of their songs and lyrics, not if they have an arguing with one of your other bands, that's just so childish. I agree with you jordan 1. Although I do believe I am a true MCR fan. True I didn't know about them until the black parade came out but I bought their old cds when I got the black parade and I love all their songs. I admit I was sad when Bert and Gerard stopped being best friends but I shouldn't try to get mixed up in this. Bert and Gerard can eigher work it out or not. Doesn't matter much if they're friends or not.

Also I heard recently that Bert was at Projekt Revolution and is friends with Linkin Park and Gerard again but I don't know.

I believe both bands are great. I think MCR makes better music, but they kind of sold out, whereas The Used has not. I'm sure most people dont even know about the songs where MCR screams, such as "You know what they do to guys like us in prison" which actually featured Bert McCracken. Bert just doenst like Gerard anymore, which is a shame, because if he did, they could probably make more awesome screaming songs.

I think that The Used and My Chemical Romance are both very talented bands and Bert McCracken and Gerard Way both write beautiful lyrics that have helped me, and many others, past difficult times in our lives. Even though this whole fight is depressing to those who love both bands, I think that we should stop talking about it. If this fight is all that we focus on then what's the point of their music? Thats all we should be focusing on. Music, not personal feuds, not who got married, and definately not who dyed their hair. I really love both bands and I hate that they're fighting but you can't change the past. All I regret is that I don't get to see them perform together anymore.

i think the black parade pretty much ruined my chem for me, the stupid outfits and everything. trying too hard to be epic, and failing. can't they just be themselves? im so happy they've ditched the outfits.
and music by the used is much more varied and they don't stick to one sound and none of the songs sound the same but i love them both <3

Okay so I'm not ragging on any band because they are both great bands, but MCR has one thing that I don't like about them. Their style of music changed soo fucking much and if you don't believe me, you little black parade faggots, go listen to cemetery drive, it's not a fashion statement it's a fucking deathwish, hang em' high, the jet set life is gonna kill you, and a personal favorite vampires will never hurt you. All epic songs totally different from their new album, the black parade, their music is still good just i don't love the style anymore. As compared to Bert with The Used. They have always been amazing ever since buried myself alive. Amazing band, and even though they changed up their style it still sounds phenomenal. I like both bands, I just like The Used Better.

I'm a fan of BOTH of the bands and have seen BOTH of them live MANY times. I ENJOYED EACH CONCERT!
