Guns N' Roses reunite?

The original line-up of Guns N' Roses were almost reunited last week at a special show in Hollywood, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band's 1987's release 'Appetite For Destruction'.

Former GN'R drummer Steven Adler performed a show with his band Adler's Appetite at the Hollywood Key Club and was joined onstage for a number of classics by former bandmates, guitarist Izzy Stradlin and bassist Duff McKagan.

Ex-members Slash and Gilby Clarke were also in the building, but didn't make it onstage. There was no sign of frontman Axl Rose, who was probably wondering whether to finally finish his long-awaited album 'Chinese Democracy'.

As much as I love GN'R, the day when Axl and Slash are on talking terms will be the day world peace sets in and global warming is stopped once and for all, which as you probably realise just isn't goin to happen.

I would do anything for the original lineup, but im also really looking forward to chinese democracy.. if it does actually ever come out. I think Axl Rose is a god, i dont care what anyone else thinks. so yeah.

Death Smoke you're an idiot. Axl bought the rights to GNR from Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven years ago for considerable sums of cash, more than you will ever see. I do agree that the classic GNR line up was awesome, but the current line ups not bad. Why don't you want to hear Chinese Democracy? Several groups, namely Megadeth, Iron Maiden and even GNR with the Use Your Illusion albums have replaced either members or entire bands and made quality albums. Anyway, Dizzy's still there. You know who he is don't you? Stop writing expletives, grow up, and do your research before writing misinformed garbage, you tool.

And he has the audacity to continue using the name Guns N roses. I am sure that all the people who say they prefer the newe GNR never LISTENED to the real band, or were even alive during their reign. My only remaining solice is in Velvet Revolver, who I am going to see live on the 8th. Axel Rose looks like a fucking idiot with those stupid braids. Axl is great, but he's not GnR. The best thing about GnR was that they were infinitely better than the individuals themselves. The band was almost paranormal in it's talent and ability to either give you the best damn show you've ever seen or incite a riot.

Well there's the Original GnR, and then there's the ORIGINAL Original GnR, consisting of, among myself and others, Tracii Guns and Axl Rose. That's how the band got its name, so really Axl will always own the name GnR, Tracii and the founding members all bailed on Axl and therefore gave up the rights to the name. After that, Axl got a new lineup - Slash, Izzy, etc, and continued on.
