Dave Navarro to make porn film

Former Jane's Addiction and current The Panic Channel guitarist Dave Navarro is to direct his very own porn film, titled Dave Navarro: Broken.

"I got into this because I have a lot of friends in the business," says the guitarist. "I've been around the music business for years and years and I watched it spiral into absolute bullshit and nothingness and become the same old, safe regurgitated things that the corporate world is trying to shove down the public's throat. But in terms of edge and the taboo factor, it doesn't seem to exist anymore and to me, this seems like the only art form out there that's exciting, shocking and taboo, yet there's a huge market for it."

Dave Navarro: Broken will not be hitting the screens at your local cinema anytime soon.

Fab news! Can't wait to see it! Hope he's the star in it! I'd kills my granny to be in that film with him! Mind you, I want to make a porn film with me, Jared Leto and Marilyn Manson. That'd be one to watch! Dave Navarro could be an extra! Am I the only gay metal fan with Leto/Manson fantasies?

Most of the crap porn you find on cheap porn sites is not art. It's crap, not even errotic because it is fake and manufactured to make money off of a lower class. However, erotic art is a high and difficult art requiring vision and patience. These days porn is rarely art anymore, but the porn that is art is truly spectacular and I have no doubt that Navarro will indeed make art.

For me, it seems that he ran out of musical ideas. He says music industry is fucked up, okay, I might agree, but change it then. He just want to draw attention with this. A gret musican gets attention with music, not with porn. I don't say the film won't be good, but has absoulutely nothing with music, and proves his musical failures in contemporary art.
