Kerrang! send our sincere condolences to his family.

I may not have really heard Tigertailz before but I quite like Glam Metal/Rock and it's a shame this chap's died.

Just goes to show you that the Welsh have some of the best bands in the UK =D

R.I.P Pepsi.

Pooor bloke. I've heard of the band, but wasnt very familiar with their works. However it's upsetting that he passed away, as the world need more glam bands, and it's nice that TigerTailz are keeping it alive.

I vaguely remember the band from many years ago. It's sad to hear about anyone that goes through such a terrible illness, and even more sad to hear that they have succumbed to it. It may seem cliche to say, but at least the poor guy isn't suffering anymore. RIP, man.

Please people get your facts right. Pepsi was the bassist not the lead singer. He will be sadly missed but hopefully Tigertailz will keep going , for those who have never heard the band pop allong to the website and check em out .
Love Bomb Baby - surely one of the greatest party anthems ever.
Go and bug your local rock club to play it in tribute - guarenteed floor filler.

Whilst I was never a glam fan as such, I had a softspot for the Welsh hairspray bands of the 80's, Wrathchild, Rankelson, and especially Tigertailz. They were a fun band who never took themselves too seriously and Pespi was perhaps their brightest star. A real characture both on stage and off who will be sadly missed by those of us lucky enough to have met him.

I am a big fan of the Tailz and saw them many times in the small clubs of South Wales. Best band around back then and better atmosphere and show than any big venue gig Ive been to.
My sympathy goes to out to his family friends and fans.
Thank you Pepsi for the music and memories.

I unfortunately never had the chance to see the Tailz live. Instead I discovered them kind of "after the fact". Pepsi will be sadly missed, not just as a performer but as an icon for a bygone age. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Rest in Peace.

I had the great, great pleasure of both seeing the boys live and meeting them in person. The first time I met them at a record signing, way, way back in the Bezerk era, I was starstruck, and I still am. Pepsi Tate was one of the most lovely, sweetest guys I have ever met. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with his family, friends, tailz and fans. Rest in Peace Peps! XXX

I met you and the guys in Exeter on the 'Bezerk' tour and spoke with you on the phone 5 or 6 years later for a Tigertailz article I was writing. I recall you being a very friendly, humble and intelligent guy. Your passing is a huge loss to all of us who appreciated the colour and energy you brought to the U.K. rock scene. Bezerk and YandC will always be amongst my favourite albums. R.I.P. my friend. Your music will ensure you are never forgotten...

I'll never forget speaking to Pepsi on the phone when I was eighteen, after my boyfriend at the time bumped into him at Bogeiz and told Pepsi how much I loved Tigertailz; with this information in mind, Pepsi decided that he should call me and say hello. I actually thought it was a prank call at first, but he soon convinced me and he was such a sweet, personable guy. I'm thirty-four now and that is still one of my most treasured memories.

Rest well Pepsi, and know that you were loved. You always will be.

I'm 30 and in 17 years of Kerrang (to me) I've never written but I'm so upset by this. I've seen Tigertailz a few times, across time, always great, They were a a huge influence on my life, especially Pepsi. I miss you.

Thanks for all the laughs me and my friend shared with you and the boys at your gigs, in Bogiez, around Cardiff and at other gigs in the late 80's early 90's. I have some very funny and fond memories that will keep me smiling forever. Our thoughts go out to all who knew you. You will be missed. Sleeptight. Angelina and Trudy.

First off, RIP Pepsi. You will be greatly missed.

Secondly, how about some decent fking music on the Kerrang! channel? So many great bands who have made comebacks like Tesla, Ratt, Warrant, Dokken, even Tigertailz still going to name a few, and all we get is half arsed punk and emo shit these days. With all the shite music channels on Sky, come on... let's hear some stuff from those awesome bands of yesterday that are still with us today.

I've only just found out about Tigertailz and although I'm a good 3 years late, RIP Pepsi.

The music is fantastic and tbh he was absolutely beautiful!
