Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx is set to release The Heroin Diaries: A Year In The Life Of A Shattered Rock Star, a book chronicling the peak of his drug addiction between 1986 and 1987.
"It's so brutally honest that it makes some people uncomfortable," Sixx tells Kerrang! in the new issue of the magazine. "I'm peeling back layers of the onion about everything in my life, my childhood through my addictions, my relationship with my band to self-doubt, to egomaniacal thoughts, paranoia, schizophrenia and eventually getting out of all that and ending up where I'm at now."
The Heroin Diaries: A Year In The Life Of A Shattered Rock Star will be published on November 5 through Simon & Schuster.
