+44 to record second album

+44 bassist Mark Hoppus has uploaded a picture of himself onto his blog - www.himynameismark.com - signing an Interscope contract for the band's next album.

"Hopefully this will put any 'band break up' rumours to rest," he writes. "We're making an album. Our way. Cool. I hope that sets it all straight. Thanks to all of you who support."

The follow-up to last year's When Your Heart Stops Beating will be released in 2008.

I still feel their guitar sounds feel really dull..did anyone else feel all the way thorugh their record that the guitars sounded really boring? I will Tom's PHAT palm muting...

Hopefully the 2nd album will improve the guitarwork- I mean, there are 2 of them! they should be ble to do some interestin stuff!

Tbh I like AVA alot more
I find that +44's albem is quite depressing
well excluding 3 songs
but I'm glad to hear they have a new albem coming out. Can't wait to hear it.

Brilliant news!

The AVA album is excellent, and I'm sure this one will be as well!

Sure, neither band will come close to blink-182, but we might as well enjoy what we do have. :)

okay, i just watched that video, and it's nothing like fist date. it's just Tom being retarded-more than usual. blink was the best, and nothing will be like them ever again, so just face facts-Tom's a jerk for getting rid of one of the many greatest things to ever happen to music

No Tom didnt 'destroy' Blink.
No neither did Mark, or Travis!
Noone 'Destroyed' anyone.
They decided to split and thats all that we need to know.
Yup, its a shame Blink 182 is no more but the main thing is theyre all still making amazing music.
All I have to say to them is good luck and keep it up.
Cant wait to hear the new album!

Blink 182 wudnt have been legends because they sucked. Their lyrics were repetitive, immature and uneloquent. +44 are so much better :) Tom's voice is the most annoying thing ever, so I cant listen to Angels and Airwaves.

I disagree, tom did break them up. And i would much rather listen to +44 theyre way better than angels and airwaves. Its a shame blink 182 is no more. They were my favorite band. Too bad tom had to be a dick

actually the band broke up coz Geffen offered Tom a solo and Mark got jealous so when mark and travis told everyone it was toms fault it wasn't they just got there first no one even heard toms side of the story

I have the greatest of respect for all three guys because of who they are and all that they have all done with their lifes, musically and in other business matters, no matter who-did-what in the past and what they do in the future. I love AvA and +44 as they are both so different. I do wish Blink 182 would re-form but the prospect of that happening anytime soon doesn't look good. Please stop arguing with each other about who did what to who. We all seem to be forgetting the important thing here - we all fucking love Blink 182.

travis barker is the best thing to ever happen t blink-they kinda werent that good wen scott was there. but they rule now and forever no matter whether they r in HIATUS or not. +44 rocks ava sucks. Oh and tom sucks balls.
