AFI start work on new album

AFI have started work on their follow-up to 2006's Decemberunderground.

"Davey (Havok, vocalist) and I spent the last three days locked in a hotel room writing and we already have four new songs," explains guitarist Jade Puget. "I have tons of material written so I'm raring to go!"

I would have thought that they'd bring out another single... haha! But this is great news, I was starting to think that Davey & Jade we're to in to Blaq Audio to bother with AFI.

i love how these have been labelled emo by the masses, they were around before the term emo even fucking existed. i dunno, anything with a fringe these days is classed as emo.

I love A.F.I , they're just the awesomeness!!! <3 Not a huge fan of Blaqk audio though, glad they didnt ditch the main band ^^

It's just an EP they are releasing first, so four songs just about constitutes an EP, plus Carcinogen Crush which is floating about on various sites.

It's more like they're old stuff, and not DecemberUnderground, They released that album and went from punk scene legends to mainstream mediocrity

God how I hate it when somebody says 'i hope davey and jade hurry up'. Adam and Hunter are there too, remember ? Without them, no AFI.

Anyway, I hope the cd comes out soon. Although, I'm a kinda afraid the new album will be even softer then DU (yes, DU was soft). They're my favorite band ever, but I needed some time to like DU. I understand they get older, but I liked their earlier stuff more. Oh well, we'll see...

ps: I hope, one good day, they come to Belgium. (Haha, who am I kiddin')

Ok ya know what? All you people who come on here and diss these bands....I'd like to see you live 1 fucking day in their shoes ok? You have NO idea what it's like to be them. People constently saying, "Oh no you should be like this." Then when they are the people say, "OMFG! Why'd you change?" So if your on here to fucking diss a band then you try doing what they do for one day then come back on here and see if you still want to say something. Fucking retards.
