NME say that the support act is meant to be Julien-K, which is pretty good as they're awesome.

Might try and get tickets for the Notts show.

What about Scotland?!

Posted by jshgk | November 6, 2007 6:56 PM | Reply to this

Ok i am in the South West, and i worked out (with a little help from Google Maps!) that if i wanted to go it would take me at least four hours to every venue. And i am sure loads of other people have it worse than me, so why dont Linkin Park bother to make it good for everyone and do a proper tour like (and i dont even like them that much but anyhoo) MCR did back in March. Linkin Park dont even go near Scotland, Wales, South of England, and Ireland. Yeh sorry i needed a rant and this just really pissed me off. Anyone who is seeing them have a great time, as i am sure you will. :D

Linkin Park announced a "UK" tour today?
And I use sarcastic quote marks.
They announced four dates: Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester and London.
What is the point of being a member of the LPU, to get access to presales when they don't even play your country?! I really don’t think it’s fair to be calling these UK tour dates – you see, there’s this big hunk of land attached to the top of England, it’s called Scotland and there are LP fans here too – it took them till November 03 to get here with Meteora, and now they're not coming with Minutes to Midnight? I waited three years to see them the first time, I’ve waited four years since then and I knew they were on the brink of announcing a UK tour and this is what we get – four dates in England? What about Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow? Because there are LPU members in all those places who have as much a right to see them as everyone else.

This is not a UK tour, its an England Tour. Where's Glasgow, where's Cardiff? Also, where's the Brum date?

Sort it out.

i always say this but what about scotland ireland and wales funny uk tour!
cmon release more dates

Posted by shelllllllllllll | November 8, 2007 9:32 AM | Reply to this

Surprise surprise, no Ireland dates. It doesn't surprise me one bit. 7 years of being successful and all they've played in Ireland is one measly support slot to Metallica 3 years ago where they bolted off stage after 30 minutes. Absolute Bollocks.

Posted by Star | November 8, 2007 11:54 AM | Reply to this

So not fair. Why is there no Scotland dates. Actually I'm not surprised. UGGG!!!

Linkin Park are awesome but they announced U.K. dates when it clearly should have said england dates cos the rest of the U.K seem to have been forgotten hmph
even some ppl in england will be struggling to travel to see them
its a poor show ! we have areanas up here too y'know

Posted by Jo Reid | November 9, 2007 2:01 AM | Reply to this

OK, so in the mad scramble this morning, I shelled out for 2 tix for the MEN, cost me over £70!! I'm only going cos I missed em at Download (that would have been much better value for money!!!) Roll on Download 2008! Should be a good arena show though, a few decent support acts would cushion the financial blow!

Posted by Wiggler | November 9, 2007 10:27 AM | Reply to this

A 4 year wait to see them in Manchester and they clash with another major concert in the city, thankfully Sheffield not to far away but it means even more cash to find on top of the £70 for the tickets!

Posted by Jem | November 9, 2007 3:55 PM | Reply to this

wat about FUCKING IRELAND you know smal nation loads of fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! an hour away from england=shorter journey

Posted by nicole | November 9, 2007 9:36 PM | Reply to this

Apparently, Linkin Park are announcing another date at the 02 seeing as how the first one sold out so quickly.

I have a crazy idea...

Why don't they use this spare time that they obviously have to schedule a few shows in the three out of the four countries in the UK that they completely ignored on their upcoming "UK" tour?

Instead of cashing in and simply playing another date in a city that they've already played this year, why not take a wander up north to a country they haven't played in THREE years, sell out our arena, and show their Scottish fans exactly why we stood by them?

I'm a fully fledged member of the LPU and I've just realised how much of a rip off it is. There's no point me getting access to the pre sale - they don't play my country. All the competitions are for their American fans as well. I hate to sound like a whiny child, but it's not fair that Linkin Park obviously have the time to play a Scottish, Welsh or Irish date but have decided to play another English one, when they've already played the Astoria and they headlined Download.

I think they have a cheek to call their five poxy dates a UK tour - check the map, boys. It's an English tour, and guess what? THE UK IS MADE UP OF FOUR COUNTRIES!

well I am sorry i disagree - if they are finishing a tour around the world they deserve a break and at least they are doing four! Metallica last year for their UK tour did just London and Scotland!

if you liked Linkin Park that much you would travel anywhere to see them! It's what I'm doing - I'm travelling from Scotland just to see them!
