andymark have you ever been to a gig mate? The visual spectacle is so important. You can play songs with note for note perfection but without stage presence its shit. Tom really needs a reality check, but the shows will probably be good and I actually like the music they make. Just because Tom was a dumb brat before doesn't mean he can't have grown up a bit! He believes in himself, a bit too much but I don't see anything wrong with it. If he wrote negative stuff you'd just blame him of being emo!

Just don't take everything so damn personally, people... What the hell is the type of music that would make you guys happy? I think some of us need to learn to accept that there's gonna be different types of music and just because someone used to be in a fun punk band like Blink doesn't mean they have to be stuck with that.

With that said, if Tom wants to work with NASA, and NASA says yes, it's not Tom but NASA who's stupid for going through with it. The results should be interesting at least.

How would you know?! Anyone that, without space age shit as a backdrop, cannot stand up and give a good performance live is NO musician. Like I said...I saw them at Reading and they wer e TERRIBLE, and where Blink could get away with it because that was the way they were, AVA just can't.

Hence they got bottled. Not at the START like PATD...but after they started singing, because they were shameful.

I would like to average a guess at the mean age of an AVA fan being 13 - still too young to know what real music is, and all too easily convinced that stage techniques mean a good 'live show'.

you know, gigs aren't just about the music. a good band knows how to put on a show.
take Fall Out Boy as an example...If you don't have Pete (much as i dislike the man...), you have no show. if a show was just the band standing there playing, it would be boring and unenjoyable. that's how you know if it's a good show - if the band are able to add something extra to their music, something differant, something that can't be captured on record.
i'm pretty sure thats what Tom is aiming for, something to make the experiance really mindblowing and massive.
