Kids In Glass Houses sign a deal!

Kids In Glass Houses signed to Roadrunner Records on Saturday evening just before going on stage to support Funeral For A Friend on their current UK tour.

Vocalist Aled Phillips said: "We couldn't be happier signing with Roadrunner Records. Everyone at the company gets and loves what we're doing and what we hope to achieve, and that's the most important thing. It's been a long process, but we definitely feel we've made the best decision and feel totally at home. We can't wait to get the record out!"

Roadrunner Records UK's Mark Palmer said: "We have been watching the band closely for well over a year now and have seen them develop into amazing live performers with incredible songs. They will be a massive priority for Roadrunner in 2008."

woop im so happy to see they have signed with the same record company as madina lake..another awesome bandd! :D

i remember seein them in a gig in bowlers bridgend last xmas playing with broken city skyline..ANOTHER BAND which is awesomeee! :)

Not that I have anything huge against either RR or KIGH but RR don't seem to have signed many new Metal acts lately lolz

what the fuck. same as above, nothin against KIGH but since wen did roadrunner sign with pop acts tryin be fall out boy. how can a label thats known for Cradle of filth, slipknot and sepultura suddenly sign bands the complete end of the spectrum.

Id just like to point out RR have nickelback and madina lake on their roster already, although to be fair to them they recently signed one of the best hard rock bands around in CKY.

The way i choose to see it is that the sales of KIGH albums will give RR money which can be reinvested in your soulflys and 3 inches of bloods.

So now KIGH are signed...they should be voted number 1 Best Unsigned Band...You should actually vote for bands that haven't been in kerrang for the past year and supported big acts like Hundred reasons and played at Give it a name!
I thought thats half the reason of the title Best 'UNSIGNED' band!
Rip Off..Seriously! Some bands work hard to get noticed and you lot go and stick in bands that have been around in kerrang before! pft...talk about mainstaged or what..Underground music deserves to be listened to aswell!

I really hope this works out for these guys, being from the same area as them I am always keen to support them. However RR better not do an insane media campaign like they did with Madina Lake and basically force them into people's ears, all the press that Madina Lake got was bullshit, it was all paid for so they were guaranteed to be successful. (I am not having a go at the band, I'm just saying the way that they have been pushed is absolute bullshit.)

Yes finally!They rock, and are much better than many of the more generic bands out there. And they are not 'trying to me Fall Out Boy' at all!They rule, bring on the album!

Just a random note, but the DRESDEN DOLLS are signed to Roadrunner Records and I absolutely LUV THE DRESDEN DOLLS!!!!

But I do hope that Kids in Glass Houses do well even though I am still neutral towards their music.

i have known about kigh since they formed a good few years ago. they have played many a shows to 10 or less people. they have worked thier tits off. if anything they do deserve it. for the recognition they worked solidly for THEMSELVES. they shifted a few thousand copies of thier ep off thier own back through shows and mail order.

get it right.
they have worked for thier recognition. whatever bands you're relating to obviously do not have a sufficient enough fanbase (which is built be the band themselves) to get to achieve this award?

Thank you to the person firing back at the person who said that 'pop' acts shouldn't be signed to Roadrunner.

Dresden Dolls are amazing and have been on Roadrunner's book for around two years or so?

I'm so happy KIGH got signed that awesome!! I've recently become a huge fan, in the space of 2 week and 3 days I've gone from not really knowing them to absolutely loving them!!
Saw them supporting FFAF in Warrington and they totally rocked the place.
Good luck to the guys with the future and the album, will be buying that the day its out!!!
