Panic! At The Disco album

Panic! At The Disco's follow up to A Fever You Can't Sweat Out will be released on March 24th.

The Las Vegas collective will be focusing more on their abilities as musicians and less on computer software.

"We just wanted the record to sound like four people playing a song," says guitarist Ryan Ross. "A lot of the songs are definitely more geared toward playing live; we didn't think about that on the last record."

On this record The Beatles, Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones have been the main influences. "I played harmonica on a song and did some slide guitar, which we've never done before," Ross explains.

I hope it lives up to expectations, I love Panic! (:

I don't care really.

If they are moving from their emo roots, then they are going to sound like they should be on fucking disney..

Absolutely cant wait for this, from what I've heard so far from the stuff they have played at festivals this summer it's going to be amazing just like their debut.

Ah, why another four months, I want it now! =(

Posted by Saulie | December 12, 2007 6:35 PM | Reply to this

Woooowwww! I sooo cant wait!!! Its gonna be awesome!

...And people.... if you dont have anything nice to say, get a life and don't waste your time saying anything at all.......

Posted by vixxx | December 12, 2007 6:46 PM | Reply to this

I really loved their debut AFYCSO, but I have a feelin the new album might leave fans feeling a bit disappointed. I think they may have become too popular too soon and the pressure and hype around their follow up album may prove too mch. But I REALLY hope it works out, I will stilll be a diehard fan, irrespective of whether its as good as their debut or not!!

Posted by andie | December 12, 2007 8:47 PM | Reply to this

I totally agree with andie above me.
I think there with be a lot of disappointment due to too much expectation.

Posted by Emma | December 12, 2007 8:59 PM | Reply to this

I'm not exactly sure what to expect, it sounds as if they're being just as creative as ever on the new album, but if it's too different and they do an Atreyu* then they'll probably not earn much from it.

*Doing an Atreyu meaning changing too much and losing a fanbase and having to start from scratch.

Posted by Finn Westwood | December 12, 2007 9:16 PM | Reply to this

I agree with Vixxx! But then again, everyone has a right to share their opinion, and if it was only good cpomments, it would be like a fucking fan page!

But yeah, I'm really looking forward to it, and also hope they haven't changed too much. If they have, I hope it's for the better!

A band equally if not more hateful than mcr. with these cunts its not even about the music, its about the silly faggot theatrics and i really lolled when the singer got bottled. Just incase you missed it "kids" here it is again...

xxxx

Posted by Flessica | December 14, 2007 3:06 PM | Reply to this

Hate to say it, but all the stuff they played at Decaydance and before that has been scrapped because it sounded too much like a film score to Brendon & Ryan. The album is reworked from scratch.

Posted by Finn Westwood | December 14, 2007 6:43 PM | Reply to this

Cant wait for the new album. Loved the debut album and i love them. I think they're brilliant musicians.

sorry to say but it comes out the 25th.

Posted by ghbjnkm | December 16, 2007 4:46 AM | Reply to this

Shud Be Cool. Good old scouse influence!!!
Im joking..... seriously.
Probs be the same as every new fucking band now tho. Old stuff great.. new stuff... shit. Just like BFMV, Atreyu, Green Day, My Chemical Romance and all the other people who have decided to join the scene. Mother fucker, they WHERE all so good As well.

Posted by Emmmmm | December 16, 2007 1:29 PM | Reply to this

you are sadly mistaken, my chem's new album is fucking awsumm, along with all the other bands you've mentioned. just because you are no longer the only fan of these bands anymore you dont like them. stfu, you know nothing.

Posted by carolyn | December 16, 2007 1:42 PM | Reply to this

Should i really be bothered? Nope, the guitar playing is shit, unimaginative and just boring. Why would i listen to P!ATD when i could be listening to BFMV, Machine head, Lamb of god, Zico chain. The ghost of a thousand, Stone sour, Slipknot , the list is endless.

The problem with bands like FOB, P!ATD and AVA is that the bands are made from the same foundations, have no differed sound and are bluntly, shit. Rock music should be exciting and passionate and a hell of alot of people just get the impression that many of these bands haven't fucking bothered with experimenting with their styles, therefore killing the music.

Is this an album i'm looking forward to?
You can bet your ass its not when i've got metallica, BFMV and Slipknot next year!

Later douchbags

Posted by st jimmy | December 17, 2007 7:41 PM | Reply to this

i think its gr8 th@ theyr doin a new album, bt i really dont want them to start singing about past girlfriends & shit.
i think a lot of bands make the mistake of thinking that we care.
we really just like the music. and maybe their looks. not their gfs.

Point proven and a lot of unnecesary space taken up.

you don't like panic!, get the fuck off this page.

more to the point, if you don't like panic!, what is wrong with you. they have that thing called talent that most stupid screamo bands don't even no the meaning of as all they do is yell a load of crap in mic, which could mean anything, as nobody can understand a word they say :)

Posted by fucking hell. | December 28, 2007 8:00 PM | Reply to this

Id call it the marmite album - they are meant to be emo so whats with harmonicas? Sorry to label instruments but that sounds a little crazy - crazy works tho ;) Cant wait to be honest - cant kerrang get some tasters? :( (A)

*not as overrated as MCR, methinks*

Posted by Caitlin Rix | January 2, 2008 7:32 PM | Reply to this

Well, instead of blowing hot air, why don't you just stick on some MH, Bullet etc. and FORGET about Panic? You clearly ARE bothered about this band doing a new album - I personally am looking forward to the new album, even if it is a little light for my tastes.
However, I do agree with you on a couple of things- AvA are shit and the Bullet and Slipknot releases should be suitably thrashing. Now all of you, SHUT THE FUCK UP. You're just jealous 'cause they've lasted more than one album. Caitlin from Hell Town (aka Basingstoke).

Got their first album and loved it! Been a fan of them for a year or so now and I hope the'r new album is good.
