Posted by amber | December 15, 2007 6:14 PM | Reply to this

That's pretty cool most of those bands are pretty big jokers so I get why they're doing it, but SKSK and Devil wears prada? I wouldnt have figured them for that kind of thing. In response to people hating on rap not all of it is shit, there's a lot of good rap just lots of artists sound the same like in any music genre

Rap && Rock together is like corn flakes and pepsi. Sounds like it should be good, but the real thing is one of the worst things on the planet ever.
I cannot belieeeevvveee that NFG && TSL are buying into this shyzer.

For fucks sake, can this get any more fucking low?

What the hell am I gonna listen to if everything gets mixed together?

Seriously, these covers are always a great take on the songs, but with their own style... its not rap, its rock with the same lyrics as the rap counterparts =)
Haven't you guys heard the other Punk goes ... CD's? =)
I can't wait, personally

I'm well looking forward to this :) all time low are my favourite band, the other bands are alright.the maine are also on it with 'i wanna love you' which is dead good.wahey. and for all you people who thinks its going to be rubbish, its not, its not like theyre copying it completely, they change it so it sounds good and like their other stuff. :) sounds like a bit of variation like this is what you need.

Come on guys, dont take it so seriously. The whole point of the Punk goes series is for FUN. I mean punk goes metal, punk goes pop 80's 90's. All for fun you guys, the artists unlike you all. Like and enjoy doing different things. Just because they do one song. Dosent mean they will become rappers. So just think of it as These bands are saving rap. Cause i am sure these versions will sound so much better.

Nice to see there is still some open minded people. Yes, fearless have produced quite a few punk goes... in the past, and guess what they are all good fun! Punk goes pop, quality album. I've heard a few tracks off this already and it sounds awsome, bands covering a song their way! Say anythings 'i got ya money' is awsome. And Brighten doing 'no pidgeons' is wicked. And people, when refering to punk, don't just use John Lydon or the sex pistols as a whole to 'punk' it's far beyond those 4 individuals!

Punk is gay.
Rap is gay.
Hip hop is gay.

Put them together, what do you get? Noise for mincing faggots who need to be put up against a wall and shot.

Posted by Josef Mengele | January 27, 2008 8:54 PM | Reply to this

I'm starting to dislike you! How can a genre of music be gay? It dosn't make any sense, go back to you'r mein kampf and swatstikas prick!

Posted by nikio | January 27, 2008 9:08 PM | Reply to this

Oh no! Nikio does not like me! Was this what our glorious stormtroopers died for?

And that genre is gay because its a bunch of fucking queers playing lame so-called music. Rap? A bunch of mostly black people talking gibberish over stolen samples.
Hip hop? Mobile phone noises for drug taking ravers.
Punk? Left-wing so called talentless fools making terrible noise.

Posted by Josef Mengele | January 27, 2008 9:16 PM | Reply to this

It's your loss and besides not all punk bands are left wing some oi punk bands are nazi!

Posted by nikio | January 27, 2008 9:21 PM | Reply to this

Fake National Socialists.

I've actually heard a few clips of some of the tracks on this cd. SKSK's song is fucking sick. And My American Heart's is pretty rad too. You can't really say anything negative about it until you hear it, because although a lot of rap is trash, this is a bunch of artists that we love.

Posted by Jonas | February 13, 2008 1:59 AM | Reply to this

Yeah, okay so maybe the bands aren't exactly 'punk', but that doesn't means they aren't any good. I mean, All Time Low and SKSK are amazing, and TSL, NFG, Say Anything, and My American Heart are pretty awesome as well.

And i recently found The Maine's cover of I Wanna Love You randomly on iTunes and loved it. The lead singer of TM has a great voice and besides, it's pretty damn catchy. Much better than the original, i must say, but then again i'm not really a fan of most rap/hip-hop.

But I love rock and it would be interesting to hear more rap songs turned into rock songs. That is if they would turn out like I Wanna Love You by The Maine.

I'm sort of looking forward to seeing how it turns out. If it's any good, i'd definitely buy it.

Posted by Emily | February 13, 2008 8:34 PM | Reply to this

see i'm hardcore against rap/hip hop and w/e, but this should be interesting to see how this turns out...

PS could rihanna's 'umbrella' be on this cd? bc All Time Low's cover is AMAZING. wayyy better than the original IMO.

Posted by atlv | February 21, 2008 2:17 AM | Reply to this

yeah the umbrella track is on there, ATL are TOO awesome! tracks are here, if uve not seen em already!

This album is amazing.

All the songs are really well done. My faves are Scary Kids, and Devil Wears Prada. Both excellent covers.
