3 Colours Red's Keith Baxter RIP

Former 3 Colours Red / Sky Clad / Therapy? / Elevation drummer Keith Baxter has passed away.

to everyone talking about mcr on here

i am a MASSIVE mcr fan myself ...

everyone is entitled to their opinion,

there are gonna b people who love them and who hate them .. its life

but its not right to pick up this argument here ...

fine wit me if u do it somewhere else, i dont really care ..

but its disrespectful to bring up such an argument here where people are trying to show grief for a man who has just passed away who many people obviously loved very much ...

im sorry if any offense was taken but i really dont think this argument on here is appropriate ...

please dont post anymore comments on here unless they are about the matter ..

again ... RIP Keith

Ok, people go on about others saying about My Chemical Romance and then get in a real mood. I agree that bringing Gerard Way up in this forum is totally unecessary but saying stuff that is or refers to any kind of swearing is disrespectul as well. It is a bit contradicitve.

Let me give you a scenario:

You attend a funeral of your nearest and dearest. Someone says something really innapropiate that could also be ignored. What are you going to do? Stand over there coffin and start swearing blue murder or something? In my eyes, if Keiths family displayed this forum right now, I think they would be disgusted with your attitude towards death

As a 37 year old drummer myself and someone who saw 3CR 3 times (and they were bloody amazing every time), this is a great loss, both to Keiths family and the drumming world. Nuclear Holiday was an amazing drum track, which I spent many hours covering.....his style is something which influenced me greatly when I was learning to play.

Anyone who hasn't heard of 3CR I would recommend checking out their debut "pure" album. I think 3CR never made it as big as they could have because they were ahead of their time and people were not ready for them then......

Keith was a great ambassador of British drumming and will be sorely missed, My condolences go to the family in this tragic time.

Very good. Unfortunately, your attempt at black humour would not have offended Keith in the slightest, he would have had a chuckle at this. (but he would never have even seen this kind of messageboard as he was a bit more real to do 'virtual' A beautiful boy, always up for a laugh, and a lesson to us all in not taking life too seriously. Aww jeez.

This really sucks. I only just got nto this band, and it's ruined. All respect to him, 3 Colours Red, his family and the fans. I'm going to miss him heaps.

And, those people who are bringing up Gerard Way, in my opinion they are the fans that are giving them a bad name. 'Cos I'm a huge My Chemical Romance fan.

And then talking about Paris Hilton, well she already has a bad name.

R.I.P Keith Baxter. Never forgotten.

Before I make my thoughts about Keith known, I have to say I am shocked at the complete lack of respect shown at the time of the tragic and untimely death of a good bloke

To those talking about random shit like other bands and advertising their own ones, have some fucking respect. I can't stand Gerard Way but if anything happened to him, I'd think absolute shame of myself if my initial response was to go into a thread about him and say something like "OMG (insert name of person here) would get it!". You like the guy, fair enough, but this is neither the time nor place to discuss it. This thread is for Keith, a top bloke, and to post such drivel makes you come across as what you probably are, IE an insensitive cunt. People who weren't even fans have shown respect, why can't you?

Keith was a top bloke, and he'll be missed. My thoughts go out to his family and friends at what will be an absolute heartwrenching time for them, and I hope they find the mental strength to make it through it.

(I will post this again here.) I was at Keith's funeral yesterday.

I am from Keith's home town and was in a band with Keith for a couple of years before he joined Skyclad. He was a top mate, and a great laugh - we had a LOT of mad times together... Keith, Dave, Kev, Trev, (the other band members) and myself.

Anyway the point is it was great to see such a big turn out - it was a very sad day.

My heart goes out to Keith (I know you're watching mate) and to Gary, Rachel, Kev, Neil, and all his other friends and family.

One of Keith's 'famous' comments was "there's nothing worse than brown sauce on your fingers". I can finally say I have found something worse - someone dying so young.

3 Colours Red were one of the first bands I started going to see when I started going to gigs back in the day and they always blew me away. I am shocked to hear about Keith. Keith was a Great friend and was my apprentice when he left school, he worked as an apprentice Mechanic at streamline garages on king street in Lancaster. He valued my opinion and asked me when he had the chance to tour with a band. What he should do as he wanted to become a mechanic but love drumming. I told him you only live once and don’t know what’s round the corner, how true was that. I remember going to the Blue rhapsody in Morecambe and watching him. He also gave me a demo tape and asked me what I thought. I truly think he wouldn’t have gone on tour if I hadn’t had convinced him. I didn’t know but was thinking about him so put his name into Google. I can tell you to say I was shocked would be the understatement of all time. He was one of a kind. Love you mate.
