but thousands of others do, and like them a lot. It may be interesting for particular members of the Kerrang! to read about such subjects.

stop having a go at Kerrang!! I think small bits of NEWS like this are what makes it different from other rock magazines to be honest. It appeals to a perhaps slightly younger music fan. as in teenagers/20's, not grumpy old adults like you sound like.
The writers of Kerrang! magazine know that a lot of fans LIKE articles like this.

But...Incase you havent noticed, the Kerrang! website hasn't always been like this!

And i don't mean to sound like a grumpy old adult but im just telling it the way me and most readers think it is.

and i don't know what fans your talking about bcuz i've gone on alot of links on the news and there is at least two or three people complaining that Kerrang! is not the magazine it used to be, and that its turning into a Gossip magazine! Which no efense...it is!

You know, like, one of my friends last week, like, he, like spoke to a girl he likes and he's like now going out with her. I just thought people might like to know about this bit of gossip! It's not a criticism of FOB, this is a criticism of Kerrap!'s standard of "journalism". Oh and by the way the reason I read the website is because sometimes, very rarely these days, they have some news that is of interest to music fan and not obsessives.

actually Cox, kerrang mite just be doing this to inform fans of whats going on and maybe they could be doing this because they know that people would make comments about this thus creating good reading material i mean sure this is a rock magazine and it may include stuff like this but the "gossip" doesnt outweigh the news about developing music. this "Gossip" is just one small part of the big magazine.

if people didnt like this in the magazine then why do they buy it?

they buy it because kerrang actually do feature the news about bands and their albums, not to mention the gigs section.

so please before anyone bitches about kerrang turning into a gossip magazine, actually look into the other aspects of the magazine.

no offence to those who have commented about kerrang slipping and are outraged by this, i was in your shoes for the first 2 seconds of reading the headlines but then i thought.

Many people wouldnt know about the gigs that are played by their favourite bands without kerrang.

Hi im 17 (not a grumpy old adult) and I dont want to have to open kerrang and read more gossip about bands that that haven't made a decent album in a while, I would prefer to read about new and up coming bands that are not EMO because thats the worse FAD since the Tamagotchi and they should stop crying and make decent music.... Kerrang used to be decent when the didn't have crappy stories about Gerrard way in every single issue (well it feels like it, its either that or MCR in any shape of form)... I know quite a few people that are getting pissed of with that ... so a lot of fans, i really dont think so ... :/

it seems like people just do it because theyre immature and cant accept that while they might not like the band or find the new interesting there are other people other than them on the planet who might.

Guys, it's a weekly magazine, of course some of the content is going to be a bit trivial, they've got to fill it out somehow. If you want lengthy indepth analysis, read Mojo or The Wire. If you want something to read on the toilet, Kerrang does the job.

Its just a few odd bits of info, that may or may not fill an odd gap in the mag...

If your not happy with the mag, then don't complain to us about it!! Either complain to the editor, stop reading or bugga off and read something else!!

As for the link, what other news were you expecting.... Perhaps they had fully finished their next album over the holiday season?! Maybe one of them was dead?! Hmmmmm no perhaps not!! Course it wasn't going to be big news, otherwise it would be just a little more exagerated!!

I've read, listened and watched Kerrang for the past 3-4 years and not really noticed a change except for the bigger variety in music....
