MCR plan live DVD

My Chemical Romance are currently putting the finishing touches to a new DVD.

Entitled, The Black Parade Is Dead, the DVD will feature a live recording of their October 2007 show in Mexico City, Mexico where the New Jersey rockers 'killed' their alter egos The Black parade live on stage.

You hate MCR. I get that. You hate MCR fangirls. I get that too. And you aren't exactly thrilled about Gerard Way - I even get that.

What I don't get is, why you don't make any distinction between these scene emos ("OHMYGerard, new MCR DVD ROCKZZ") and people to whom MCR actually has some kind of meaning beyond this ridiculous fangirl bullshit. There are some of us out here, too, you know. I for one thank MCR for having given me an example of how total geeks can make something out of themselves. I also found a lot of very good friends by going to their shows, etc. If you don't like the music and think they suck live, ok, nothing anyone can say to change that. It's your opinion. But some of us who aren't into MCR for the "hawt" guys actually go to those shows because it means something to us and our friends.

And yes, I actually do have a healthy social life and other things to do with my time than obsess over dudes in bands. I bet I hate fangirls pretty much the same as you do.

The reason there isn't going to be a video diary on it is because they didn't do any filming during the making of TBP - And Gerard has said he's glad that they didn't record anything, after everything that want on with the band during that time period.

But I'm kinda hopefull that it'll be like GD's BIAB, with clips of them inbetween, etc.

I saw that show at Mexico =) so fucking amazing, probably the best night in my life.
Its a 3 disc pack, (most probably 2 dvds and an audio cd) and you can now pre-order it at play .com

Once again this is old news to the majority of MCR fans Kerrang :P

And i wish they'd recorded a show with a better setlist, although admittedly they didn't start playing b-sides and Bullets songs until after The Black Parade era ended.

I can't wait; just hope that it isn't as expensive as Life On The Murder Scene was!

I saw them on november 13th with msisupporting, and what can i say.. WOW.
They were actualy very good,better that what i was expecting after past reports of there live show's.

As much as I love My Chemical Romance, it's about to time the Black Parade died down a little and they made space for their older stuff, plus hopefully a new album soon.

Can't wait for this DVD though.

I can't see there being much other stuff on it about them as LOTMS did that all ready.

1. There are some stupid fan girls who think Gerard's called Gerald and are so pahetic that they cry because he's married now, yes, but not all the girls who like them are like that. Many of us actually know that My Chem have oher albums besides TBP *gasp*
2. It's unfair that we now get picked on and called wannabes for wearing MCR shirts. I've lost mine somewhere, but even if i had it I wouldn't wear it, as you just get so much abuse for it.
3. I don't care if you don't like My Chem… people who hate anyone who dislikes them need to wake up and realise that peole like DIFFERENT types of music.
4. If you dislike them so much, just avoid them on this website… no one MADE you click on this page, did they? Or are you just so sad that you have nthing else to do every evening than wait by your compuer for items about bands you hate to come up so you can attack them/their fans?

I'm looking forwrard to the new DVD =] You can't stop people liking them… haha.

I am also getting so tired of HATERS! Why read news about a band you don't like? You need to get out more. And, i think peopleshould respect that not ALL My Chem fans cry about Gerard being married, and only own TBP! A lot of us like MCR for all their stuff, not just a more mainstream album and the frontman.

Bring on the fourth, less theatrical, back tom basics album. Maybe less mainstream success will stop some of these haters... -_-

Oh...My...Gosh

I love MCR to bits :D and have done for AGES!!! i saw them last year at the NIA and i got sooo close to the stage, and was one of the best shows i have ever seen, i cant wait to get this.

You have to remember there are alot of people who DID like my chemical romance, before they sold out. Theres a fine line between the fans now and the old fans, and its annoying when magazines like kerrang use yyou lot to sell there bad excuse for a music magazine. If they wernt flaunted around so much there wouldnt be so many haters.

but thank god the black parade is dead cos all that alter ego ever did was remind me of how much the band changed and (my opinion anyhoos but don't freak over it kids...lol) changed for the worse. don't know about you guys but the black parade came to symbolise the awful 'emo' typecast for me. would have loved to have been there when they discarded it for a better my chem! little lecture over - lol - and don't bother comin after me for it folks!

Self harming is not an "Emo" thing, it's not for little girls obsessed with MCR-it's a medical condition and anyone who does it isn't doing it for attention!!! I am a recovering self harm and i like MCR...i also like Darren Hayes, Scissor Sisters n Amy Winehouse...does that fit into ur "emo" description?!?!NEWSFLASH-THERE AINT NO SUCH THING!!!!
