Nickelback storm the charts

Canadian rockers Nickelback are celebrating this week as their latest single, Rockstar, has climbed the British singles charts to number 3 making it Nickelback's biggest UK single to date.

The track, which features a whole host of celebrity guests in the video, has been in the British charts for a staggering 11 weeks and its latest placing makes it even bigger than their 2002 hit, How You Remind Me, which reached number 4 six years ago.

In related news, the band's latest album, All The Right Reasons, shot up from number 41 to number 10 in this week's official UK album chart.

Another unneccessary comment on MCR in an article that does not even relate to them. Give it ten years. If they are still around they "MIGHT" be as big as Green Day! But oh wait...crowd following bastards hate them too! P.S Rockstar is annoyingly catchy!

The video for this is dreadfully bad, someone should punch chad kroeger in the face/throat for releasing this shit on the world. i still havent forgiven them for the equally dire and awful "how you remind me"

Nickelback are possibly one of the most boring bands in the world. They are so 'middle of the road' its unreal. People who like Nickelback also like Bryan Adams, fact. The term 'Dad rock' was invented for them. A very bland and uninspiring band. If they were a colour it would be beige.

with regards to gerards first comment i will admit to owning all nickelbacks cd's lol ((but i only bought one copy 'honest'))

but with regards to slating them, i will always be on nickelbacks side. i think they are an awesome band, they were the FIRST band i saw live...... and ive seen them twice in total.

p.s. does anybody have any idea if they are gonna release a nu album?? tour uk again?

rockstar is a cool song, but its just gonna be like teenagers by mcr. all these little scene kids come along and steal all the fucking tickets to the shows coz they like one song. cept this time its worse. even the chavs know it!
