'Green Day' side-project release debut album

Foxboro Hot Tubs, the garage band allegedly featuring members of Green Day, are to release their debut album Stop Drop And Roll on April 28.

As previously reported, the band have posted six tracks as a free download on their official site www.foxborohottubs.com.

I'll agree that green day's older stuff was better, but bands are always changing, so why don't you give them a break and just apreciate the fact that THER THE BEST BAND EVER! I also think it's great that there all friends unlike alot of bands

Okay. The band is not Green Day and people need to get this through their thick skulls when judging them [not directed at anyone]. Sure Foxboro Hot Tubs may have Billie Joe, Mike and Tre' but it's a different band.

wtf? two questions...

1) why are we talking about green day? - its a different band. so leave it.
2) how can you say they are shit, or lump them with lostprophets and 30stm? - GD are probably one of the "greats" genuinly up there with beatles, zeplin, maiden, roses, queen ect....also, they are hardly new, about 18 years old. and to be honest....how can you say new stuff...its all the same part of the same evolution in their music. to be honest im not surprised theyve taken 3-4 years with this, theyve been at it non stop 1989-2004. thats a long time.

this is gunna be a great album!

Have you heard Bullet in a Bible, it has old songs that are now sung much better that in the old CD´s an example is King For a Day, which mixes Shout with it it´s so great! Also, I thing this side projects are great, because, I don´t care if the CD doesn´t say Green Day as the artist, but it has the same performers.

Please. They're not the best band ever, however they're a fairly decent band who worked hard to get where they are. They've paid their dues and deserve a little more respect that they get at times.

i hope this one is more like their older stuff, if not less commercial than 'american idiot' or whatever.
i never really liked that single, but the album was good until kerrang killed it (as they seem to do with a lot of bands these days, they even managed to kill basket case and when i come around years after the song came out)
i really dislike green day these days, but i'm hoping this will be good. if not i still give them my support, cause they've come a hell of a long way.
and to all them haters, you REALLY annoy me cause many of you only started hating them when their new album came out. I don't blame you really, but you should really listen to ALL of their music before you critisize.
If other people like them, then leave them to it. stop being so childish.

for what green day are, they are one of the best, basic 4 chord pop-punk, bands ever. sometimes people forget how good they actually are. the problem is that because its over-played on kerrang and scuzz people have just got bored with them. for me they shud forget foxboro hot tubs as are they gonna do any lives shows as FHT? no! they shud come out sayin weve been workin on some new stuff, kinda goin in a new direction and just take it from there. i like 'mother mary' tho thats quite good and ill probably buy the album.

i was brought up listening to greenday ever since i was born (my brother was a massive green day fan) and i love all of their stuff... old is just classic and new is great coz it appeals to wholenew generation... american idiot had to be good becuase loads of people liked that andgot into their old stuff becuase of that. :) just my opinion :)
