Still Remains, RIP

Michigan metal sextet Still Remains, who recently hit the UK as main support to Bullet For My Valentine, have split-up.

The official statement from the band is as follows:

"Dear friends, fans, and family,

"This is a goodbye letter from us to you. We will be seeing most of you again I'm sure but not from on stage. We've decided to make this headlining tour our last as Still Remains and Cornerstone Festival our last show. We want to thank all of the wonderful loving people we've met in the past few years for being there for us.

"It's been an amazing run but we are done for personal reasons. No, we don't hate each other or want to punch each other in the face. It's just time for us to move on to different things in our lives. Please come see us on our headlining tour and help us go out with a bang!

"We are extremely excited to see what the future holds for each and every one of us. So keep your eyes and ears open and God Bless!"

I liked their song "Stay Captive coz it's the only one i heard i'm sure if i heard more songs i'd like them more but since their splitting "GOODBYE! (I GUESS THAT'S ALL I GOTTA SAY)

metal is slayer, slipknot, behemoth, lamb of god etc.

having not heard still remains before that time i was impressed so it's crap that they r splitting

It'll be sad to see them go but they had a good run!!
They need all the support they can get and i think that all their fans should go see their last tour!!
I just have to add that at least they aren't splitting coz of an egotistical lead singer (Scott Weiland) just because he didn't get what he wanted!!
They had so much talent and they did put it to good use!!

SRs first album showed alot of promise, but they were heading down a different path there new stuff. They went from an above average metalcore band, to an eyeliner scene band. The fact that half the serpant album was heavy, half was camp as christmas suggests conflicts in artistic vision perhaps.

For good metalcore checkout Underoath and Poison the Well.
