Following an on stage rant in Glasgow on March 20, Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weliand threw the future of the rock super group into doubt.
While the band are as yet to make an official statement as to whether Weliand has left the LA-based rockers or not, Kerrang! can exclusively revel that guitarist Slash has tapped-up former Take That singer Robbie Williams to be Weliand's replacement.
Slash (real name Saul Hudson), who is originally from Stoke-On-Trent, met the fellow Potteries-born musician at a Port Vale football match over the weekend.
According to sources close to the band, the pair were "in deep discussions about a future musical project."
