Trivium name new album

Florida metal titans in the making Trivium will release their new album through Roadrunner Records on September 28. The follow-up to their third studio album, 2006's The Crusade, will be entitled Shogun.
The record was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Stone Sour).

"Working with Nick is like being around out long lost fifth band member", says frontman Matthew Heafy, "He took what we did and put us through pre-production boot camp... he kicked our asses! When we first met him we had this instant connection and knew we had to work with him. What's so great about the album sessions is that it all happened so organically and he really hammered at us to give our absolute best."

The band will co-headline the Unholy Alliance tour with Slayer in the UK in October and November.

That Name Has Enforced My dislike Of Trivium Already, i didnt really like them when i went to see them at the black crusade either. but then again as my old mum used to say, the proof is in the pudding or something like that lets just wait and see what the albums like.....

I dont think its the Fact that Trivium think they are too big they are just not big enough. How to pull the crowd in go on tour with Slayer and Machine head............are Machine Head on or was that last year? Oh I dont know.

Trivium got pants on Crusade album Ascendancy was not a bad album but they went too soft. Will see what this album is like and make me judgement from there.

I love the insulting comment towards trivium i like trivium i think they've done more to bring younger boys and girls in to metal then any other band in the last 3 or 4 years and i've been into metal 10 years now, i think your all jelious coz there touring the world bringing metal to the masses and you stuck in your room like i am writing stupid comments to a newsfeed about a band which you think have "Sold Out" perhaps your the ones that have Sold Out

if you just gonna say anythings shite then your not really a true metal head, even though its not to your taste no type of music is shite, at the end of the day every band and artist has a fan base and it's not up to the people outside that to pass judgement coz you didn't like them in the first place.

It is a crap name though. Its not as if they are releasing industiral-jungle-pussy-punk! If MSI named there album this it would be ok XD.

But anyway - I HATE both Metalica and Trivium - but I agree, Metalica ARE better... Trivium are boring and there musics diversity reflects their lack of intellegence.

All this garbage about there name... What the hell difference does the name make anyway?? Ascendancy is probably one of the greatest metal cds ever made. Granted they don't belt it out the way they used to, but its gotta take alot out of ones voice to sing like the night after night. But you HAVE TO appreciate the at least the guitar work.

After Ascendancy the crusade was a very very big let down. Will have to see what the new album is like. No way I would call Trivium Thrash at all. Personally I think the guitarist should leave the band and start his own ( cant remember his name but he sings like a true trasher) Band think Trivium have lost the edge they had for a bit. hope they get it back

Now thrash would be in my mind

Slayer, Machine Head, Pantera, Lamb of God, Chimaria, Entombed, Carcass, Fear Factory, Evile.........isnt it amazing how ya mind goes blank when you are trying to think of thrash bands. Well there are some anyways

You guys are so stupid , you dont realise that making the comparison between Trivium and Metallica that you are already giving Trivium one hell of a compliment. Feel free to put up an argument with me any day. Shogun already got an 8/10 star rating, and that was based on only two songs, the album isnt even released yet. Now you tell me . . .
