The Canadian band have been snapped up by concert promoters Live Nation - who already look after Madonna, U2 and Jay-Z - for a three album deal plus a cut of tour profits, merch sales, fan club cashola and broadcast rights.
However, there's still the small matter of the two albums Chad and Co. owe to current label Roadrunner Records...
In related news, Nickelback's single, Rockstar, (which has been in the UK Top 40 Singles Chart since LAST OCTOBER!!!) has been named the second biggest-selling single of 2008 and the band's 2005-released album, All The Right Reasons, the third biggest-selling album of 2008.
