Hi Kerrang!

I managed to keep myself awake all night just so I can see those mask and aren't they amazing! I'm so glad I managed to stay awake to see them, to be one of the first to see them! Thanks for the heads-up K!, they were well worth staying awake to see!

fuckin hell coreys is proper scary but awesome! they are all awesome masks im sure all slipknot fans will be thrilled with this, i think Jims is the best i love the black lips on it and the black around the eyes fucking great!

Joey's mask is amazing and the others are alright, but their old ones were much better. Joey's is only cool because of the christ comparison but the imagery is nothing new. I love slipknot but I'm disappointed.

the masks aren't really a gimmick, because the music is good enough to stand on it's own, it's just something different innit! yeah they probably needed new ones though because the old ones probably smelled like big foot's dick! (aaah anchorman)

you don't know anything about slipknot do you, just like most people. take some time to read up about them, or watch sum interviews on youtube, they tell you why they wear the masks. not because they think they are ugly or low self esteem, if a gimmick can make that much money and and be recognised all over the world. i'd say it's pretty damn good!

As far as I can tell, most of them just modified the old ones, though I can't claim to be an expert on them.
They seem to be lacking in creativity. Especially Corey, it's just plain, and not really in a scary way either.
I love Joey's though! It's amazing! A true peice of art =]

i like the masks of mick, paul, shawn, chris and corey the most. they have a 'slipknot' look in my opinion - look unique to the band and would be recognizable as part of.

corey's is very different compared to his previous mask - simple but good. simple can sometimes bring a lot more out than something over the top.

joeys is a bit too cliche the whole lets incorporate jesus thing - see that too many times. looks like a mix of the crow as does jim's mask. They look awesome but i think they could have been a more creative - bit more unique to slipknot.

craig is good - doesnt look too different
sid - again reminds me of something else
i cant quite put my finger on what

anyway - all quality masks!

The new masks look amazing, although I think Corey's is a bit plain and boring compared to the previous masks. Although my favorites are shawn's and Joey's. However I think Joey's is a bit odd, seeming as, to begin with, he based his mask on the japanese opera masks, and now, with the crown of thorns around his head, he seems to be hinting at Jesus or something. lol. And Mick's, well Mick's hasn't changed lol.

This just shows how this band have matured and grown as a band. To go with a new sound new masks must be required to give that authentic presence that only SlipKnot can provide. Am i the only one whos bored of Slipknot? I don't think they're anything special in fact i think they're boring. Without they're masks they're just a poor "metal" band.

Definitely their best masks so far, they've completely out done themselves. The masks suit their new sound perfectly. And people need to stop bitching about Corey's mask - it's his image and his music, he can do what he wants, deal with it.

Awesome....I've been waiting so long it's about f*ing time!!!!

Joey's rocks as I have a thing about Jesus, and it's very jesusy looking with the thornds....my sis will be pleased with clowns cos it's not as freaky as his last one and she has a phobie of clowns

as far as corey's goes....yeh I agree that it's a bit plain, but I think it's rather freaky because if you were to stand there and talk to him when he's wearing it, you can't see any kind of expression...I mean, at least Mick's looks kinda angry and shit, but Corey's, it's just....there....it's just.....yeah i can't explain it but i like it....it's kind of...nice and simple...
Sid's looks groovy too...

man these guys never fail to inspire!

umm, i'm 98% positive that the masks were introduced when they started because they wanted people to pay more attention to their music rather than, style, or fashion or just a basic "im gonna rate the members of slipknot in order of hotness"

i'm not fond of the masks, some are cool (joeys) and others are just piss poor (look at coreys, need i say more?)
i personally think they should've just stuck with the vol 3 masks or just made some minor differences (like pauls & micks)

Mick, Jim, Craig, Paul, Chris haven't changed at all.
Joeys mask is still being a kabuki mask but now it has a crown of thorns. F****** awesome.
Coreys new mask is very simple, but i think its pretty cool.
Shawn, doesnt look like a clown anymore, except for the big nose, and other stuff.
And Sids looks like a savage creature from the jungle.

Although some masks had changed completely and others hadnt changed at all. What matters is that Slipknot still being the same funcking intense band that always was!

These have got to the best set of masks so far! My favourite has got to be Sid's look at that thing, it looks like it's fucking sculpted out of his face and an amalgamation of machinery has been jammed in there... incredible!

I think they are all looking the best so far! My favourite one has to be Joey's. I like the whole crown of thorns. However, I think Corey should have kept his hair long! But other than that, they're great!

well i think many will agree that these new masks will kick ass! It's good to know that the band are back again after a very long break that seemed wouldn't end. The new album will also kick ass if the single All Hope Is Gone is anything to go from. Really looking forward to the tour in August!!! I do believe that it will kick so much ass!!!!! Ill go in order.
Mick's is the same idea as the last 3 masks but just cooler i dont kno how but it just looks great.
Sid's is sick probably the most detailed that or Joey's
Jim's is sorta the same but i dont like the shape of the black around his eyes, the zipper is cool.
Corey's ugh probably the worst one looks like a crappy Michael Myers with short hair. The mask actually is kinda cool but it just doesnt work for Corey and Slipknot.
Craig's like Mick's the same yet for some reason cooler the black is dif and it sorta looks like there's more nails.
Shawn's INSANE hard to even describe it's so cool looks like a clown executioner. Love the nose.
Joey's ehh liked his old one better the Jesus idea is kinda cool but much too detailed wouldnt be surprised if he ditches the thorns cause he always changes his mask.
Paul's I like it better than the last mask it's kinda the same but a lot more beaten up and rugged i like all the slashes in it.
Chris's Im glad he didnt ditch the nose very cool more tribal looking with the dots around the mouth cooler color too.
Overall i like them. Basicly i dont like Corey's and Joey's but still good job Slipknot can't wait for the new album!!

Saw them as soon as they hit the interwebs.

I'm glad to see Mick didn't change much, my favorite, looks calm and insane at the same time. Looks more sharper though.

Both Jim's and Mick's masks look more matured. Fitting as they are doing some more solos! Fuck Yeah!

Joey's 'Crown of Thorns' are awesome. That picture has perfect lighting and everything, it just looks so badass.

And Corey's mask brings back memories of his old mask with the dreds. And it also seems to be metaphorical in a sense... All of the pictures have greens and blue, signifying life (opposite of the purgatory masks where everything was in rustic colors) this tied into his new 'featureless' mask could signify a fresh start. A rebirth. And if the two tracks so far are any indication of what's to come, then this makes total sense. Long time maggot, but I can say their latest is their greatest.

All in all, the masks are fuckin' sick. Can't wait for the rest of the album either, 2008 has been a great year for Metal and it's only about half way through.

Haha..i was gonna say some thing..BUt i kinda forgot after what i kinda saw , I opened my window and and i saw a girl (That i know crying) sitting on my low wall with her boy friend running after her..and They yelled for a bit then he said I love you right, and you love me..then he just asked will you marrie me.. and she stoped crying and said Yes..and am still looking out my window..and I shouted she SAID YEASSH THATS CUTE and they both looked up then i went red and said hi &Bye..came back..wow still cant mind what i was gonna say!! hehe

Slipknot I really think are starting to up their game. I feel hat their new album is a lot better than VOL.3. Just by the song All Hope Is Gone. which sounds really good. The new masks look great, I did get Paul and Corey mixed up...cause Corey's newun looks like it should be Paul's!

micks mask isnt that big a change which is good cause it was fucking awesome in vol 3. sids mask is alright, better than his one in vol 3. jims is more or less the same. i really fucking hate coreys mask it was so cool in vol 3 but now its too plain. craigs is the same with a few miner changes. the clowns mask is a change but for the better. joeys is so sic its the best one by far. pauls is cool, i never really liked it in vol 3 but the scratches down the front of the mask make it a lot better. chris mask is the same but again with a few miner changes but i think its better than the one in vol 3.

sounds more like a stone sour track, as corey sings more.... but maby its a sign that slipknot are gonna mature more in this album (dont get me wrong i love the old harsh stuff)

There's only Corey, Joey, Shawn and Sid masks that have new designs, they remaining Knot members don't look anything different.

The 2 new current available sonsg are also dissapointing....hope the new album will be better.

I like Joey's mask and Jim's mask the best of all these. Mick and Paul have some pretty sweet ones as well. Corey...not so much. And the others look too similar to thing I've seen before, nothing too impressive.

I think the new masks are a main focal point of slipknot's fans. over the years we've seen many crazy new looks for slipknot, but THIS one is by far the best!

Wow, can honestly say they've made a definite improvement. Joey's mask is amazing. In fact, fuck it, they're all brilliant. Cannot wait for the album. It's going to be the best album of the year by a long, long shot.

Corey's is really messed up!
Jim's is like The Crow! Its is WOW. And Joey's is like some myth thing but they are awsome!!!! Great design's guys! Wish i could say the same for Corey though.

The new masks are awesome! I'd have to say that Sid's and Joey's masks are are the best! I do like how some of the masks are the same design, but tweaked a little bit. I'm glad Mick kept his "Ironman" design. Slipknot never ceases to amaze me! The new album will own because they are taking everything from their past career and putting it into this new album. The song, "All Hope Is Gone", has the brutality and raw energy of Iowa and Slipknot, a solo that is out of this world, and Corey's vocals are right back where they need to be! I'm interested into hearing what song(s) Mick is using his signature Ovation "seven" guitar on. Can't wait to see the "Psycosocial" video! This album will put them back up top as where they should be!

There's an insane amount of feedback on these masks. They all look incredible, but I must say that Shawn and Joey's masks are amazing!

Well, they always look great, no matter what. I love the detail that's been put into them.

corey mask is awesome.
they're all good, but i think jim and joey masks are way too different from the others, they don't fit in the others style.
i don't like their music, but i dont blame them to use masks and keep improving them, it's part of their identity.

Too Be Honest, I Love Slipknot, Like Many people. There are also a large ammount of people who dont like slipknot, but Everyone has to pay their respects to them, not only are they a monumental band, their skill at timing is incredable. Being able to perform with 9 people in a band must be a major task. The masks, i think are awesome and to be honest It Is PART of slipknot, The masks are one of the things that make them who they are, so it doesnt matter if they look bad, or good, ( many people have said coreys mask is shit, but its not, its just very different to his old one. ) they are important to who slipknot are.

Im looking forward to the Pits on their tour.
