Metallica film new video

Yesterday Metallica started work on the promo clip for The Day That Never Comes, the first single to be culled from upcoming new album Death Magnetic.

In a post on their official website, drummer Lars Ulrich wrote:

"Today we shot a video - Nah, more like a short film really - for the first featured track from Death Magnetic. Directed by fellow Dane/filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg (pictured with the band).

"We spent the better part of the afternoon playing The Day That Never Comes to a sold out crowd of dust and smoke just outside of Los Angeles, California. Should be ready to share with all of you at the end of the month, give or take..."

Click here to check out some stills, and be sure to pick up next week's Kerrang! magazine for a world exclusive interview with the band.
