Metallica give Texas fans taste of Cyanide

Metallica debuted a new song, Cyanide – taken from their forthcoming album Death Magnetic - during their Ozzfest performance in Friso, Texas on August 9. Official video footage was posted on www.youtube.com this weekend.

Danish metal legend King Diamond also made a special appearance during their cover of Mercyful Fate, a recording of which appeared on their 1998 album Garage Inc.

The setlist was:

Metallica’s new album Death Magnetic will be released on September 12.

....have just checked out the video, and I must say this song is fuckin' shit hot! Not sure about anyone else but that sense of anxiety from worrying if death magnetic being another 'st. anger' (anyone remember that album? lol) just ebbed away as soon as I heard this. Welcome back boys!

Cannot wait, im just going to totally give up on them if this is another st anger but so far sounds good. they havent had a decent album since 'Metallica' (Black Album)

I was at Ozzfest this year; still got the sunburn, hah.

Metallica was pretty awesome, and Cyanide was a pretty damn good song, I gotta say.

I wrote before about Saint Anger but I'll say one more time! Only smart people but not fucking stupid fans can understand Saint Anger! Saint Anger one of the their best albums! I doesn't coincide in music with the previous ones and that's fucking cool! It sounds great, it rocks!!!!! It's heavy!!!! What about cyanide - it's a mixture of 4 different songs!!!! How Rubin could release such song??? Honestly speaking, this song is quite weak!!!!!! 5 years they kept us waiting and what is the result????? Hopefully, album is great cause Metallica stille RULLESSSSSS!!!!!! YYEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!
