Enter Shikari have uploaded a video of them performing a new track, Antwerpen (working title only).
"This a bit of a tease for the UK tour, here's one of the new songs we'll be playing out on it," say the band. "We'll be recording this properly for the album (out sometime like spring 2009)... but for now, here's this version.. recorded live using the webcams on our laptops!"
I love the fact you can hear nothing buit drums...

Ive been a Fan since Download fest 06 I'm expecting slightly better from the new album to be honest this is abit below standard for me very a mature. sounds very much like a band that have burnt out

they sound like they're having fun at least... it was recorded on laptops. .thats why it sounds bad and you can only hear the drums.. looking forward to the new album :)

Ive gone off these so much. I saw them December '06 and now seeing them a week tomorrow, and im not excited. This song has not impressed me. I'd sell my ticket, but its one of those E-tickets. gutted

reach for the skies RULED
this just didnt compare

Come on guys, I doubt they'd want to make Reach for the skies part 2, you can tell they're messing with different drum and bass ideas here and it's still pretty hardcore.
I've just revisited the record after a break because I totally overplayed it and now am well pumped to see them on the 7th.

yer the sound quality is a bit shit but to be fair to them its been filmed on a webcam so you can't expect amazing quality.

Why would he care to learn the history of metal? Remember, Enter Shitkari are about as metal as Girls Aloud. And as lacking in talent. It's like telling Jade Goody she should learn the entire history of the Manhattan Project.

yeah but like, whats the point of kerrang posting this? if we wanted to hear a bad quality video we would just youtube them.

You guys are all idiots.
You can't judge them on ONE new song which has been recorded roughly as a teaser to their fans.
By the time the new albums out and this song is recorded properly, you'll see just how amazing it is.

you know, i've heard WAY worse than this.
way WAY worse.
i can't say i am an Enter Shikari fan, but my friend likes them, and i agree with her when she says that they are pretty good.
Because they bloody well are.
A lot of you here must be idiots. i happen to have prefect pitch, and factoring in the fact that it was filmed on a LAPTOP WEBCAM that probably isn't expected to be used this way, and the fact that it is a DEMO of all things, done in that little practice space, with Rou screaming rather than singing the words...
Well, i must say. its pretty good
even if i don't factor in all of those things, it still is quite well done.
I say kudos to Enter Shikari, and to the rest of you who have nothing better in your time to do than to criticize a video like this, go back into hibernation. you should have never ventured out and laid your eyes upon something you don't have the capacity to appreciate, go back to your Britney Spears recordings all over synthesized and edited to the max in a studio where her voice can be made to hit the right notes using a computer. Enter Shikari, unlike that, can actually MANAGE to hit notes without the aid of technology, even if they do slip up sometimes, though its only a demo.

Its crap yes, but wernt half of the songs on the old album crap? and half were great. But at the end of the day a band will make an absolute bollocks of an album and the next one might be a great improvement.

To Be Honest. You Cannot Tell What The Song Will Sound Like Because It Is On Such A Bad Quality Recording.. So You Cant Go Saying Its Shit.. I Would Expect Better... Have You Gone And Sold Lots Of Albums?.. I Doubt It....
Looking Forward To The Hastings Gig!!

Why is everyone saying theyve gone shit, this is just one song,
Yeh the quality is shit but who cares,
Everyones making such a big deal about it..
Posted by Hayley | September 27, 2008 2:19 PM | Reply to this
I would like to hear it with better quality.. but its not too bad.
Cant wait too see them at the astoria in november
xD
Posted by Rachel. | September 27, 2008 7:59 PM | Reply to this
Hmm blates, if was in better quality and properly recorded would sound better. Jus give them a chance to release the album 4 days till Shikari live wooop
Posted by Adam Heslop | September 28, 2008 4:28 PM | Reply to this
It's NOT terrible quality. I could hear everything fine.. Not many people have a real ear for music. They hear a songs sound as a whole and can't break it into seperate.. tracks.
People always say demo's suck.. This sounds pretty creative to me, and it was good of the band to post it for you, in quite a clever way as well with the webcams and editing, so STOP COMPLAINING!

This song i agree can be improved but i think it is fucking sick, the bit at the beggining with te gang vocals is awesome and it has a nice D'n'B breakdown as well, so fuck off anyone who is just hating them because 'too many people like them now' cos they are still fucking straight ill!

might aswell just wait for the single...
ive heard the remix of 'we can breath in space they just dont want us to escape',
and if that goes by anything enter shikari have flopped this time round.
the whole techno rave thing is abit boring now.

I live in Antwerpen.

Awesome!
Course the quality werent that great, all the instruments are recorded at the same time, in a tiny echoey room.
I can see this one growing on me alot!
