Paramore on the VMAs

Paramore were flying the flag for rock last night when they played the MTV Video Music Awards.

The pop punkers performed Misery Business, the lead single from their platinum selling album, Riot!, live at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

"We always love playing shows, and this one just happens to be the biggest show out there," said frontwoman Hayley Williams.

While bassist Jeremy Davis added: "That was amazing. Honestly, it flew by. I really don't even remember being up there."

Well Jeremy, if you hop on a plane kinda sharpish, you can relive the action tonight at 9PM when MTV UK screens the star-studded affair in the UK.

In related news, Paramore, Slipknot, Foo Fighters and Fall Out Boy lost out to Linkin Park's Shadow Of The Day in the Best Rock Video category, while Panic At The Disco's Nine In The Afternoon lost out to Britney Spears' Piece Of Me in the Best Pop Video category.

Yes. let's all ignore the fact that a rock band won in the Best New Act category. Not saying I'm a huge fan or anything, but those lads deserve some credit. I bought their album in Spain and it's fairly good, nothing spectacular, dulls after a few listens, and very 30 Seconds to Mars-esque.

Dude thats just wrong. She doesnt deserve NOTHING. Britney lipsynches, NOT PATD!!!! Im glad Linkin Park got something, theyre amazing, and im also glad to see Paramore up perforing at the VMA's. Her songs mean nothing, after her last embarassment, i dont see how thats gonna improve her career, since its already failed. Sad sad sad o.0

i actually stayed up to watch it on mtv!
but i really wish i was there! but watching you on mtv was awesome! and it took mne back when i saw you on the 4th june!

Panic's Nine In The Afternoon Video was better than Britney's stupid friggin' video... all she did was dance and it wasn't even that creative, and unique.
I'm not a fan of panic at the disco,
but I definitely think it's not fair.

Paramore are a decent band, granted not Refused or Mastodon but certainly better than most of the mainstream shit nowadays (Oasis, Foo Fighters, U2, Coldplay).

tbh the MTV performance was poor i've already said that further up and she isn't normally dreadful live she's amazing i've heard her, alsoI don't even find her that attractive granted she's alright but nothing special. If you mean System's one hit is Chop Suey then you're wrong because it's one of their worst songs.
