Paramore record soundtrack for vampire flick

According to frontwoman Hayley Williams, Paramore are working on a new track for the upcoming movie adaptation of Stephanie Mayer's 2005 best-selling novel, Twilight.

"We are back home recording again for a possible shot at the 'Twilight' soundtrack," said Williams in a post on her blog. "It's crazy to me that we've never actually recorded anything but demos in our hometown. It's nice to 'work' from home. If you can even consider this work."

Also rumoured to be on the soundtrack, which is due to be released at the end of October, are Muse with a re-working of their track Supermassive Black Hole.

Twilight itself is due for release in the US at the end of November, and was directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen) and stars Kristen Stewart (Panic Room) and British-born actor Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire) as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen respectively.

Maybe Paramore are hoping to appeal to a more adult audience knowing that the fickle scenesters will soon latch on to something else.

Hayley is worried she will have to perform $10 tricks to make ends meet before too long.

I cannot wait for the Twilight Movie.
They are AMAZING books!!!

to the people saying Paramore fans are too young to watch vampire films:
the Twilight books are read predominantly by the 12-17 age group. the vampires in it are, frankly, just plain strange: sunlight doesn't kill them and from reading the books myself i'm able to say that they're very, very much 'tamed down' vampires - not particularly scary.

I have a v. good feeling this movie is gonna be killed with all the soundtracks. It's a love story but hollywood have totally actioned it. meh.
paramore are okish and everything but i hate mcr. god i don't think I'm gonna seeing the movie at all.

Don't get me wrong, I'm such a sucker for romance that I actually read the entire series. So it's not that I just love to hate or anything. I enjoyed the books, but let's face it, Meyer isn't exactly a brilliant author (her language is very simple and her storylines very predictable, just as her characters are) and this movie looks like it'll be even worse. The books can't take a second read-through, and the movie will barely take one. But hearing that Paramore of all bands...ugh, I can't even say it.

Well, at least that's one soundtrack I won't feel the need to waste money on.

Of course Muse is mentioned!! If you read any of the books at the end Stephanie always mentions Muse!

OMG! they are actually doing a film for the twilight series - I loooove those books!
Yeah, its pretty obvious that Muse will be on the soundtrack coz Stephanie Meyer worships the ground they walk on. But Paramore? Not sure about that -they are too tame for a vampire saga - maybe MCR (don't start wineing at me coz of the emo thing) or Evanescense. She's mentioned them a couple of times and their stuff is just perfect for it! :)

Omfg! i sooo can't believe Paramore are doing the soundtrack..sooo awsome! The Twilight series is really good but the movie looks kinda shite though. I thought Linkin Park would have Paper Cut on it though, Bring me to life by Evanescense would be awsome too!

right...ive never read the twilight books....my mate has and said they were great...now your moanin about the music for it...ffs and there was some fucker sayin its not worth seein the film with this "shit " on it...but paramore are good...and muse are good....but will all you twats stop comparing bands that dont even play the same sort of stuff to each other thats what gets me..paramore and muse are nothing alike...its like when people compare JFAC to BFMV...its just stupid..either watch the film or dont...dont sit and bitch about it

it's not a gory vampire flick. it is a love story, there's subtle fighting in it, & that's about it. i am 15 years old, & stephanie meyer's book is suitable for my age, most definitely. i've seen the trailers & even a fight scene, it was fine. you'll understand if you look at some of the clips on youtube. it's a typical teenage love story, except for the fact that a normal girl falls in love with a vampire. not your typical stereotype vampire. he's a good one, & he's not gory, or ugly. in fact, he's described as impossibly gorgeous :) so all in all, i conclude that it is suitable for kids. just in answer to your comment :)

Jesus Christ, I think Paramore are the new Pete Wentz. I'm more of a Paramore fan than a Muse fan, but should I'd focus the article more on Muse.

Then there's the fact that Stephanie Meyer is directing Jack's Mannequin's new video, which I would definitely consider news worthy...

Twilight is an awesome book and paramore have so much depth to all their songs it will fit perfectly. Twilight is more about romance and over coming barriers then about scary vampires with long canines and a alergy to light. Hayley is absolutley incredible and I guess this will show the world how diverse the band can be.

And personally on the subject I think Within Temptaton should be doing some of that soundtrack.

The books were very well written and appeal to all ages. They have a lot of detail and I could read them over and over. If yo can't say anything nice don't say anythig a all...childish i know but thats how all of you are acting.Grow up people.
