Top of the rocks

Slipknot's new album, All Hope Is Gone, debuted at number 2 in the British album charts. The band's fourth studio album, was held off the top by indie bores The Verve.

Kid Rock's latest album, Rock N Roll Jesus, fell six places form number 6 to number 12, DragonForce debuted at number 18 with Ultra Beatdown, Nickelback fall 8 places from number 12 to number 20 with All The Right Reasons and dance rockers Pendulum are still hanging in there at number 38 with a re-entry of their 2005 debut album Hold Your Colour.

On the singles front, Biffy Clyro are at number 5 with Mountains, Kid Rock's at number 6 with All Summer Long, The Automatic are at 17 with Steve McQueen, Metallica are at 19 with The Day That Never Comes and Nickelback's Rockstar is still in the bloody charts at number 33.

Worth noting that All Hope Is Gone actually debuted at No. 1 in Australia! As an Aussie Maggot, that makes me extra-proud...

It is news. For a band to get a number 2 album with little radio airplay is a massive achievement.

You're complaining even though not so long ago it was all about Mindless Self Indulgence, and before them Fall Out Boy, and before them My Chemical Romance, and probably weren't complaining then. Hypocrite. Get a life.

Well it is obviously atm because theyve had a mssive comeback and its huge for a band liek them to get to number 2 and its because they have worked fucking hard for it
Its not just about slipknot but atm theres alot about them because theyve just released their first album in 4 years fucknut

Well, yes it is news actually. Apart from the fact it's a great achievement for a metal band who get little to no mainstream radio airplay to get to number 2 in the UK album charts, Slipknot's return after 3 years away is news in itself.

You've just got to grow up and if small articles like this about Slipknot annoy you THAT much, maybe you should just... hmmm.... NOT READ THEM??? Come on?! Kerrang isn't about anything else any more??? That's bullshit. Don't be a prick.
