THE PRODIGY will release their new album Invaders Must Die in the Spring.
The follow-up to 2004’s Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned features 11 tracks of rock-infused dance mayhem which might just remove your head cleanly from your shoulders.
“All fucking bands say their new record’s their best, but this just feels really triumphant for us,” Liam Howlett tells Kerrang!. “It’s on fire. It’s all about the three of us together and what we can do. You know what we deal with: it’s beats in a predominantly electronic style and it’s full of fucked -up guitars!”
Finding themselves disinterested by the latest crop of rock-slash-dance crossover bands, Howlett feels it’s time to shake things up again. And whilst steering away from collaborations with outside vocalists, a certain Mr David Grohl climbed back behind the drum kit for the album’s standout track Run With The Wolves.
“Dave emailed us to see what we were up to and offered his services,” smiles Howlett. “It was really inspiring. It’s definitely the most venomous track on the album. Keith really goes for it on lead vocals. It’s wicked.”
Invaders Must Die will be released on March 2 through Take Me To The Hospital/Cooking Vinyl.
