Megadeth have revealed that they are more than 10 songs into the creation of their forthcoming new album, the follow-up to 2007’s United Abominations.
The album has been recorded with producer Andy Sneap, with work temporarily put on hold as the band tour Europe.
“We are doing great with the progress of finishing the writing of the new record,” says frontman Dave Mustaine. "We have finished all of the rhythm and bass guitars, as well as the drums being finished for a couple weeks now, and I think I even heard some acoustic layers."
“The album starts out with an instrumental," he reveals, "and there is one song on here that will probably touch a lot of people; The Hardest Part Of Letting Go.”
"The reaction from our management, family, friends (the real critics) has been pretty positive," says the singer.
