The rock and metal Grammy results in full

Former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant and country singer Alison Krauss were celebrating last night (February 8) after picking up five awards at the 51st annual Grammy Awards.

Plant and Krauss picked up Record Of The Year for their reworking of the Page and Plant track Please Read The Letter, Album Of The Year and Best Contemporary Folk/Americana Album for Raising Sand, Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for the single Rich Woman and Best Country Collaboration With Vocals for the single Killing The Blues.

AC/DC's Rock 'N' Roll Train lost out to Kings Of Leon's Sex On Fire in the Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals category, while The Mars Volta fended off tough competition from Disturbed, Judas Priest, Motley Crue and Rob Zombie to pick up the Best Hard Rock Performance for Wax Simulacra.

Slipknot, Ministry, Judas Priest and DragonForce lost out to Metallica as My Apocalypse won Best Metal Performance. Metallica's Death Magnetic picked up an award for Best Recording Package, while Panic At The Disco's Pretty. Odd. and Nine Inch Nails' Ghosts I-IV lost out to Radiohead's In Rainbows in the Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package category.

Weezer's Pork And Beans won Best Short Form Music Video while producer Rick Rubin picked up Producer Of The Year For Metallica's Death Magnetic and The Red Album by Weezer.

Indie nerks Coldplay trounced Kid Rock, Kings Of Leon, Metallica and The Raconteurs to the Best Rock Album gong, which was presented to them by Blink 182.
