Guns N' Roses poised to announce world tour?

Guns N' Roses are poised to announce dates for their Chinese Democracy world tour according to guitarist Richard Fortus.

In an interview this past Monday (April 27) with Missouri radio station KDHX 88.1 FM, Fortus said:

"I've been in rehearsals with Guns for the last little bit here - focusing more on that world right now and we, hopefully, will be announcing dates soon, I hope."

The guitarist added that the band are likely to announce Europea shows first.

"I don't know of any dates in the US yet," he continued. "I haven't heard any talk. I'm sure that we will. Right now that's not where the focus is; I know that we're gonna be probably announcing other dates first."

Seeing as GN'R took nearly 15 years to release Chinese Democracy, we could be waiting a while...

He never said "Europe."

They are kicking off the tour this September in South America.

Argrentina -> Chile -> Brazil

The albums pretty good, just gotta pretend it doesn't carry the GnR name. I saw them a couple of years ago and they were really average. They were in fact the best Guns n Roses cover band you'll ever see, but still a cover band. Just not the same without the others from the old days.

The album is no what I expected, I do not recognize GNR classic sound in it. Try Velvet Revolver

These guys may be calling themselves guns n roses but everyone knows that guns n roses died long ago and that these guys are just a sad imitation clinging to the name guns n roses in hope that people will still follow them wehn really they could never hope to be as good as or anywhere near as good as the only original guns n roses

This is so stupid. Who cares? Really. This is not GnR. This is Axl and some other people. Axl distroyed them in the first place for being so full of himself. The new "GnR" will never match up to the original GnR. Period.

It's very easy to blame just Axl for the breaup of old gn'r. ALL OF THEM, slash, axl, duff, steven, izzy destroyed original GN'R. ALL OF THEM. NOT ONLY AXL.

Besides, Slash and Duff preferred to give GNR name to Axl and take the money $$$$ for that.

I AGREE WITH FALOPA.

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM EITHER (I HEAR THEY'RE COMING TO BRISBANE - INFACT I'VE HEARD ON THE GRAPEVINE THAT THE DATES FOR BRISBANE ARE PENDING).

THE ORIGINAL BAND WAS AWESOME.

BUT AXL WILL ALWAYS BE AXL! THANK GOD!! I LOVE THE GUY!! (DON'T FORGET WHO WROTE THE MAJORITY OF THE MUSIC EITHER - IT WAS THE REDHEADED GUY).

PS: SLASH PLAYED A PART IN THE DEMISE OF THE ORIGINAL BAND - IT WAS NOT JUST AXL.

I'VE HEARD AXL SAY HE WOULD BE OPEN TO THE POSSIBILITY OF PLAYING WITH DUFF AND IZZY AGAIN.

AS FOR STEVEN ADLER - HE SHOULD HAVE CURBED HIS HABITS - HE LOST A LOT OF MONEY COURTESY OF THAT.
