Metallica were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at Cleveland’s newly renovated Public Auditorium on April 4, celebrating their 26-year recording career.
Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea described the Californian quartet as “fucking rad” before inviting the band onto the stage.
The star-studded event saw former bassist Jason Newsted rejoin his bandmates – and his successor Rob Trujillo - for spirited versions of Master Of Puppets and Enter Sandman. Newsted left the band in 2001.
"Dream big and dare to fail,” frontman James Hetfield told the audience. “I dare you to do that, because this is living proof that it is possible to make a dream come true.”
