Blink 182 plan summer US trek

It's official, Blink 182 will make their live return this summer for their first tour since they went on hiatus in 2005!

The band will play shows across their native United States between July and October. The exact dates for the tour will be revealed in an official announcement next week. And, shock horror, this time around, they're actually going to rehearse this time!

"We used to walk on stage and forget our parts," bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus told Rolling Stone. "This time, we want to be more artistic."

The band have apparently enlisted Kanye West's set designer to give their comeback tour some extra polish.

"We want to use the entire arena as a lighting rig and stage," continued Hoppus. "We're being as ambitious as possible."

Support will come from Weezer and Fall Out Boy.

Unlike the other comments so far, I actually hope they do bring FOB out to the UK; I'm a fan of both bands, so for me it'd be a win win situation. If you don't like the support, you can always turn up late. It's no big deal. Be mature about it.

Why FOB?! Of all the other bands that are out there! FOB are not exactly everyone's favourite band and they're far to mainstream!

They can't support them when they come to the U.K. It's just not allowed... (:

Yeah, but every support act will be at least a little polarising. Not everyone loves FOB, not everyone hates them.
And Green Day have Kaiser Chiefs as their support in the US. KC are mainstream too ¬_¬

..Only FOB as Pete Wentz is Mark Hoppus' best mate.

And tbh Pete wanted Green Day to take them out, but they got Blink. Anyway who cares. Their set will be 45 mins max so just have a good drink while that is on and enjoy the main act.

Plus FOB probs won't be in the UK as there is conflicting dates.

If people really wanted to be near the front for blink, their "hatred" of FOB could be overcome. Personally I think it's a good choice of support; it polarises people and maybe after that FOB may be liked more by those who judge them too quickly.
Just my opinion though.

only in the USA at the moment. I don't get why people make such a big deal if they don't like a support band. That's the whole point of support; it puts you out of your comfort zone and gets you to like different music.

I agree with you. Fall Out Boy are a good band and I think they're great live. If you don't like the support you;ve only got listen to them for 30 mins/45 mins tops.

Lets hope they make it 2 the U.K and FOB have a horrific accident and can't play for reasons other than their SHIT. Weezer will be good but FOB 2 support Blink????? who thought that would be a good idea. Get a GOOD pop-punk band like Good Charlotte or Lostprophets to support them not the shitty Flop Out Boy

Yeah, they are good live; someone else said they're crap live, but actually they've improved a lot recently. They're pretty good live now.

What the hell does everyone have against FOB ?!?!I went to see them in Cardiff and they gave on eof the best live performances I've seen. Just because they don't have guitar rifts and drum solos, doesn't mean they are a shit band.
