As previously reported, Children Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho broke his shoulder last week while on tour in the US supporting Lamb Of God.
The singer told fans he fell out of his bunk as the band's bus driver was taking a sharp turn, but vowed to play on.
"I am going through a great deal of pain and I will give everything I have to try to finish this tour,' he said in an official statement.
Unfortunately the pain has become too much for Laiho and doctors have ordered him to rest for a minimum of three weeks or risk permanent damage.
