Blink 182 plot new single

Blink 182 are busy finishing off work on their first single since they went on 'hiatus' in 2005.

The band hope the track, Up All Night, will be finished and sent to radio before their reunion tour kicks off in Las Vegas on July 23.

Guitarist Tom DeLonge said:

"It's got a little bit of Pink Floyd, a little bit of Rush, a little bit of Blink in there," says singer/guitarist Tom DeLonge. "It's crazy, but it somehow sounds exactly like where we left off. It's an amazing song."

I didn't ask what it meant. I asked when Blink used to sound like Pink Floyd - they sound exaclty like where they left off and the new track sounds like Floyd... none of the old stuff sounds like Floyd, so how can they sound exactly like where they left off!? Fuck

by Pink Flyod, DeLonge is reference the experimental effects they've probalby used, taking inspiration from how Pink Flyod used to use a toaster in one of their songs.

All he's trying to say is that it's a little more grown up, and heading in the same direction they would have been if they hadn't split up.

You can't take this man word for word, he talks about being jesus and masturbating to lord of the rings.

I was hoping there was possibility that they'd grown as musicians. I have faith in Tom just not in Mark or Travis. Tom is the only one whos actually expanded his musical talents.
They like so many great bands before them may be doomed to grow stagnant and irrelevant, which scares the shit out of me becuase I love them to death.

The other 2 haven't? Record producing, plus 44 and many other side projects didnt count?

Tom only did angels and airwaves and that wasnt overly great as I remember. I think he needs the other two. I can remember the first uk ava gig - it was dull and Toms shouts out "F*CK BLINK 182. GET OVER IT KIDS" It was painful as I then had to endure it again a week later a give it a name :0( zzz zzz zz zzzz

Amen all three are back together although I thought plus 44 was good
