Paramore unveil new guitarist

Tennessee emo heroes Paramore announced yesterday that rhythm guitarist Taylor York is now a full-time member of the band.

"We recognize the fact that it's way overdue. Oh well!," begins their official statement. Today is the day. The four of us (Hayley, Zac, Josh and Jeremy) are proud to announce that Taylor York, a touring member of Paramore for over two years, is now an official member of the band!

"In case you don't know... And you probably don't... Taylor has been around since the very early days of Paramore. Perhaps even before we began. He actually helped write some of our 'fan-favourite' songs such as Conspiracy off our debut record, All We Know Is Falling and That's What You Get from Riot! So as you can see, there really isn't anyone else we could find who would fit in quite the same."

York replaces guitarist Hunter Lamb who left the band in 2007.

Paramore's as-yet-untitled third studio album is out in September.

omg i cant wait ive heard two songs which were ignorance and where the lines overlap and they sound so awesome. So excited for Taylor he is so great and cant wait till the new album. ARGHHHHH!

Saw him live with Paramore over a year ago, and he fits in great. He brings a lot to Paramore as well, and I can't understand why it took them two bloody years to make him the second guitarist! xD

That comment made me laugh so much. If you've seen cats and dogs and Mr tinkles or whatever is in the christmas tree factory and says "you're all fired" and closes the blinds, he then opens the blinds again and shouts CATS RULE. This is a pointless comment but it made me laugh XD

im so glad Paramore have got Taylor, he puts so much effort in to every show as do the rest of the band. cant wait for the new album and a tour, its been a long time since i saw them, and that was the best night of my life.

I love this band so much xxx

Honestly, it is stupid to bring MCR up because of this topic, even I shouldnt have brought it up. Theres really no point in bringing them up, because this topic is about Paramore. Everytime Kerrang has a new topic about something "Emo" that always put the bands faces on it, and its ridiculous. But thats far off from this topic about Paramore, which makes it more ridiculous. I do agree with XO. But the whole "Emo Heroes" is stupid, and its getting old. -.-

LOOVVEEE PARAMORE!!! Hayley Williams is so pretty and the whole band ROCK!!!! I really cannot wiat for their new album! The term 'EMO' makes me laugh! Thier is no such thing beacuse it is meant to stand for emotion and if music doesn't make you feel some kind of emotion(Good or bad) then that band or singer should re-think thier job! If someone has no emotions then they need help,feeling sad is better than feeling nothing,trust me!!! Paramore are amazing and are NOT emo and never wil or can be. ..Ps.. I really can't wait for September now!!lol!

i can't wait for there new album and taylor is awesome! emo? no i dont think so, there poppy and cool haha can't thnik of any words, but there new songs i've heard so far are great! so i cant wait for the studio version, gonna be awesome!
as for the people who comment with bad things to say about paramore, if you dont like them, fine! no-one has a problem with that, but why comment if you just gonna slag them off! we don't do it to band that you like so leave paramore alone, there amazing and extremely talent so leave it! anyway i can't wait to hear the rest!

Paramore are truly amazing and really aren't emo, i'm so glad they put Taylor York into the band but i'm kinda upset because i liked how they were a cosy band with 4 people but ohh well. they are still soooo amazing and i can't wait for the new album !!!!
And poeple who are leaving the hate comments about paramore and hayley can fuck right off!!
