New MCR album features their "best song ever"

My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way says their forthcoming album will feature "the best song [they've] ever written."

The band are currently recording the follow-up to their 2006 mega-selling album, The Black Parade, with producer Brendan O'Brien (Mastodon, AC/DC, Pearl Jam) and Way likens new track Death Before Disco to Bruce Springsteen's 1975 classic Born To Run.

"It's a completely different sound for the band - it's like an anti-party song that you can party to," he told US magazine Rolling Stone. "I can't wait for people to hear it. It brings back, lyrically, some of that wonderful fiction from the first album. I think we wrote our Born To Run, and I'm so amped about that.

"To me, it's the greatest song we've ever written - it's my favourite MCR song," he added.

The as-yet-untitled album is set to be released later this year.

My Chemical Romance are my favourite band. It was them that got me into this sort of music and now I've been introduced to some awesome bands - like Slipknot.
If you don't like MCR, why bother reading this article? Just to piss the supporters off? It's pointless. You may say that fans of MCR have no life, but you obviously don't if you waste your time sitting at the computer mouthing off about bands.
It's kinda of flattering that they're good enough to have such devoted haters.

I actually used to like MCR quite a lot, but less so the black parade, and even less so the concept around it. What I hated the most though was all the preachy teenie fans claiming their lives were saved. Maybe they were a slight inspiration but they never saved anybodies fucking life.

Haha!!! Using GAY is an insult is lame in it's self!!! I love MRC and by the way, they din'y go all the way to London to sing random MCR songs, they went to stick up for a band thst get hated for because people think they are ''EMO''! The best part is, is that Emo is fake anyway! It is meant to mean emotional, so get it right people! The Black Parade was a Concept Album, Telling the story of a Man who was Dying of Cancer.

There were No Songs about:

1, Fat Teens struggling with the Fact that they are Ugly, Unattractive Fucks

2, Telling Teenage Boys to dress up in Women's Clothes

I can't wait for the new album!!! MCR are incredible and its goinh to be so interesting to see what they come up with this time 'cause they're always changing their sound. That's one of the great things about the band.

MCR used to be decent but until that latest piece of crap came out I lost all respect for them,

yeah, i do, and i went to it and it wasn't all "emo" kids there, me and my friend (who regards himself as a goth) went not for the attention but because we were sick of all the people who thought a band whom we loved were being blamed for some girls suicide. Im not too sure but I guess around 7000 people commit suicide per day and if it wasn't for bands like this i would have been of them...whatever you probable middle aged over-weight men with 37 tattoos and long hair and cargo pants think i don't care and its about time people respected other peoples choice in music. I bet you wouldnt be complaining if a load of old ugly men protested if some band like mettalica were blamed for one idiots suicide...

All of these 'haters' are just small minded pricks that haven't the capasity to accept that there is more than one type of music, and that (this may come as a shock to some of them)other bands can have talent aswell. "Emo" isn't what MyChemicalRomance are, infact if you actually looked into the bands past you would find that the song 'Thankyou For The Venom' is about not wanting to be a part of the suicide cult that has been wrongly branded as 'emo'.
If you are going to label people and music atleast do it properly... What you call 'emo' isn't actually emo atall.

I love MCR and KERRANG!! I am beginning to think that K! tries to talk about MCR as much as they can beause they know people love taking the mick out of this amazing band, as well as each other! NME.com reported this same story about 5 days ago. Seriously, Kerrang is so slow in getting to news, NME reports it miles before them, even bands that Kerrang are SUPPOSED to be focusing on.

Okay, I'm getting seriously pissed off reading all these comments. I'm not gonna lie, MCR is definitely not one of my favourite bands but I respect them for what they do, they mean an awful lot to a big amount of people and they do make some pretty good music, even if it's not quite to everyone's taste.

Why is everyone bitching about how Kerrang! has supposedly "gone downhill" or become emo? That's complete bullshit. Music changes, everyone likes different stuff, why are some people so fucking narrow minded that they can't accept the fact that bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden aren't feature in every single magazine. Look, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Led Zepplin, these are some of my favourite bands but I like other stuff as well. My music taste ranges from HIM (my favourite band) to Slipknot, to Nirvana to Blink-182 and everything in between. Kerrang isn't just a metal magazine, it's about variety and new music and if people can't accept that then seriously, stop fucking complaining.

No one's going to like exactly the same music as you do. so why bother trying to tell them to change? Open your minds a bit or just stop buying the fucking magazine.

Some people have said, 'MCR saved my life,' to which others replied, 'Well how could they?' Have any of you ever felt depressed, or dissatisfied with your life or yourself in any way? And have you ever had something (maybe an album, band, book, etc.) that seems to be the embodiment of what you are feeling plus a reminder that you are not alone and don't have to be miserable? That was my experience at least, and I think its been similar for others. Almost everyone has had something that brings a new light to their life during their despair, and for some people it just so happens to be MCR. So please stop insulting the people that feel that way.
