Thrice speak out about new album internet leak

Thrice have commented on the leak of their forthcoming album.

"We're disappointed that the leak has thrown a massive and immovable wrench into the efforts that many people have made to prepare for the three months leading up to release," the band write in a posting on www.thrice.net. "That said, what's done is done, and we're moving forward."

Beggars will be released in October through Vagrant. Oh, the irony.

i always think about news like this making matters worse. like when there's a news byte on E! and people scour the Internet for pics of Lohan's beaver shot or something. I think it's good that Thrice commented, but at the same time, people like me and thousands of others are now going to hit up the torrents and download the album. hopefully the album is awesome and the kids feel guilty and buy it in october, or at least attend the show and get some merch.

Thrice just announced Beggars will be available to download on iTunes August 11th. I guess the retail disc will still be in October.

sooo...thrice are disappointed that theres people out there who cannot wait to hear their new material so they go ahead and leak it. Maybe they'd be happier if nobody cared when the album was going to be released - like Steven Segals films..

nowadays there isn't any money in cd sales, and album sales after release dates, hence why bands tour for longer, and further, and sell merch, because the money really is in the merch and tours
i don't think leakings good, dont get me wrong, but in todays world, its obviously not preventable
and WHY THE FUCK ARE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT STEVEN SEGAL?
i really dont get that?
