Twin Atlantic to support Taking Back Sunday

Glaswegian rockers Twin Atlantic are set to hit the road as main support to Taking Back Sunday later this month.

01 Bohemia Stage at Sonisphere Festival, Knebworth
02 Leeds Metropolitan University
08 Hothouse Stage @ Belladrum Festival (TBS not performing at this event)

The band will announce a full headlining tour in coming weeks to coincide with the release of their mini-album, Vivarium on September 14. A single, You're Turning Into John Wayne, will be released a week earlier.

"American culture is everywhere," says frontman Sam McTrusty of their forthcoming single." So much so that loads of bands put on fake American accents in hopes to be more commercially viable in the US, while it was important to us to stay true to our roots and just be ourselves.”

Fantastic band, great to see them getting some exposure. I emplore anyone who's going to the TBS gigs to make sure they check Twin Atlantic out! It's a damn pleasure to hear a Scottish accent in music these days. Simon Neil and the Proclaimers excluded, there aren't nearly enough out there!

Quite funny that they'd say that about bands putting on American accents, since it's become trendy in Scotland for bands to sing in exaggerated Scottish accents that often don't reflect their spoken accents.
