HIM name new album

Finnish metallers HIM have confirmed that their that seventh studio album will be released early next year.

The follow-up to 2007's Venus Doom has tentatively been titled Screamworks: Love In Theory And Practice and will be released on Valentine's Day (February 14) 2010.

The band began recording with producer Matt Squire (Taking Back Sunday, All Time Low, The Used) early last month and have already tracked rhythm guitar, drums and bass. Recording is expected to finish before Christmas.

In related news, HIM frontman Ville Valo is working on a track for next Tim Burton's (The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd) big screen adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, which is also set for release next year.

how the Fu*k did you come up with that one, take love metal as an example its got buried alive by love, the sacrement and funeral of hearts and other amazing songs that wernt released as singles like endless dark and beyond redemption. mayb bam does hav a bit of inflence in the states but not over here i hav over 20 him cds and i didnt buy a single one because of bam margera i bought them because they make amazing music, and to the other comment at the top how are they over rated? i think its pritty amazing how they are from finland where the native language is finnish yet they have incrediably deep lyrics in english. id like to see an english band do the oppoite and still be going stong after over 10 years. also this news is kinda old but w/e

I love HIM and this is awesome news.

BUT whats with people keep coming here and saying shit like that.

People and their lame negative comments! They obviously haven't spent any time at all listening to the majestic music of HIM. Luke puts the same "pretentious" comment on every music site, and Casper just has his panties in a wad.
HIM has produced some of the most incredible music made in the history of the recording industry and they sound just as fantastic live. They are really a down to earth bunch of guys despite their musical achievements.
I can't imagine someone being able to top the songs they've already made, but if anyone can, it's Valo! He has never failed with his rich, emotional lyrics and timeless melodies, brought to life with brute force by a band that has tightened their musical bonds by years of working and traveling together.
I can't wait for Screamworks-Love in Theory and Practice, if that is indeed the end title, and if Valo is truly writing a song for the Alice in Wonderland movie, I say it's about time Tim Burton wised up!

okay number 1 Bam Margera's influence hasn't affected HIM's success in the US they've done it through pure talent.
2. it's not just about beind dumped they sing about all kinds of concepts, like addiction, death of a loved one (play dead) and obviously being in love.
and if you guys don't like HIM or Mr. Valo then why comment?

Hey, everyone has an opinion guys, but you should ignore the negative as you know yourself whats right. If you like it, you like it, if others dont well quite frsnkly they dont, casue if everyone liked the same thing it would be a really boring world. Come on dudes...

How can anyone be angry because some people don't like about HIM? :D Not everyone fells in love with Ville Valo's deep voice, I haven't for years. As kid in the end of 90's I liked much about Join Me and co. but it was like ten years ago.

But seriously Kerrang, Finland and Finnish rockers aren't as cool as you may think. Mostly this country and people in it are just grey and depressed. And not everyone of us is a smoker-drinker-depressed-artist, like most of Finnish bands in business suggests.

And it's not a f*cking wonder that Finnish guy like Valo is abled to create good lyrics in English. We have good education system which provides us good language skills (and hell a lot of depression). So don't make a big deal about English being his second language.

HIM are one of my favorite bands Mr.Valo is a legend. Their music is catchy and damn addictive, i know i'm female and most people say females who are fans of HIM want to get in Ville's pants, NO TURE. :D They are great artists. . . roll on the next HIM tour!!!! Oh YES

Why is people coming on a page where they don't like the band.
Fine, everyone has there own taste and if you dislike/hate them then theres nothing wrong with that. But coming on this page, and saying things like that is quite rude to people that likes/loves them. It also shows how disrespectful yous are.
I hate many bands and ii never go on the band pages and start saying shit like that.
If yous have spare time, then use it on something good rather then coming somewhere you don't like.

If you are talking about the comments here, people are not getting angry because they don't like him BUT people coming here, where they don't like the band and stirring up shit.

People are not making a big deal about his language being a second language. Some are just suprised, because many Finnish bands have accents and some people are not aware of the education system in Finland for some reason, ii do but some don't.

Who really cares what some morons have to say about HIM?! I mean really? The band is FREAKIN awesome...the ones that LOVE and RESPECT the band and their music KNOWS this.
