Queen guitarist hearts Muse

Queen guitarist Brian May has told BBC news he loves Muse’s latest studio album, The Resistance.

"I think it's great stuff," he told Auntie. "I think they're very good boys and extremely talented, and like us they have their tongue in cheek a lot of the time. They are extraordinary musicians. Real virtuosos - much more than I am. I like the way they let their madness show through, always a good thing in an artist."

May also said that he has met Muse a few times and they have said Queen were a big inspiration on their music.

"They said they liked us and that we've been an influence, which is obviously nice for someone like me to hear," he added.

I love Queen, they're my favourite band. Think about it, half of the music today might not be what it is if it wasn't for Queen.

And if Brian May (LEGEND!!) says that Muse are good, then I'm taking his word for it.

:)

Muse suck. End of. Plagiarism all the way. When they say they were inspired by you, that means they nicked your songs. I'm a massive Queen fan, and that is why I've put myself down as John Deacon, but this is just a load of rubbish. Has anyone here ever thought of how 'Uprising' sounds like a mix of Blondie's 'Call me' and the Doctor Who theme tune?

f*ck you? first of all, you need to know muse uses old and new elements. before judging, go listen to more songs then just a single hit or so... moreover: learn about the definition of plagiarism? you can only call something plagiarism if the one who would be using stuff from someone else won't say what his ''sources'' are. muse is open to that. besides, musicians influence eachother all the time. think about it, if nobody would influence other's music, why all similar music? why these so specific genres? anyways, muse uses old and new elements, they combine them all and the total work they've done is quite brilliant. cheers.
