Ian Watkins is a cunt.

Posted by Lewis | November 19, 2009 3:22 PM | Reply to this

How pathetic.
All the hype from this album is making me think its gonna be actually terrible, the cover created that impression aswell. Urgh.

Posted by jenna | November 19, 2009 3:24 PM | Reply to this

i really like it, and it really shows Ian's graphic design talent.... if you don't like well there we go... it's just the album cover..... but at least lostprophets design their own covers unlike a lot of bands.

looks like a christmas tree with a power surge! Awful! Then again it is Lostprophets- figures....

Actually, on further inspection i have realised that, thats not actually the right artwork. Gotta love record label incompetence

Posted by lewis | November 19, 2009 4:15 PM | Reply to this

omg get over it!! its a cover who actually gives a toss about this stuff? no offence to ian he probably put a lot of work into it but i dont actually care what the cover looks like, its the music that counts and apparently this isnt the offical cover anyway so stop wining!

DONT JUDGE AN ALBUM BY ITS COVER!

end of... :P x

i expected a bit better cover,
and im not always a fan of artists who put themselves on the cover,
i suppose ians l'amour... influence kind took over

this said.. anyone saying its shite
aint a true fan

get over yourself and fuck off,
i think the time has come where lp and their fans dont really care and just love this band for what they are

"i think the time has come where lp and their fans dont really care and just love this band for what they are"

Being a true fan doesn't change the fact the artwork looks absolute shit, but then again if you go about calling yourself a 'true fan' (so basically 14 year old girls) then chances are you bum Ian Watkins and co no matter what the art or the music is like. Even if its shockingly awful.

don't rape me for my opinion, lostprophets are one of my favourite bands since fake sound of progress but i've been noticing a massive gayification going on, specially lately :|

this cover isn't gay tho. awful yes, but not gay.

Posted by suicidalmoose | November 20, 2009 12:51 AM | Reply to this

its not a christmas tree u faggots. its a group of birds flying around thunder!!! and if u judge epic band like LOSTPROPHETS just for the cover art then u can go eat shit

Posted by tony | November 20, 2009 7:31 AM | Reply to this

i agree to that

Posted by seb | November 20, 2009 12:05 PM | Reply to this

I think it's quite cool in an 80's nostalgic kind of way. I spoke with Ian on twitter and he said "It's an unfinished rough. One of many. Rather than the final one. I should be used to it by now. Yet it still gets to me." cuz the label took an old version and uploaded it.

I think it's meant to have an 80's vibe cuz most of LP's music has a 'New Wave' twang to it.

Posted by Andrew Jones | November 20, 2009 1:51 PM | Reply to this

HAHAHAHAHAHA

very cheese-tastic! but if the first single is anything like the album as a whole then it should be a good 'un! :D

Posted by coleee | November 20, 2009 8:01 PM | Reply to this

Love them and looking forward to the cd, but must say,

That is by far one of the worst album covers I've seen in my life.

this is soooo awesome!! thx! can't wait!

Posted by exitedperson | November 23, 2009 8:13 PM | Reply to this

Not only does it look lame, but their 'End of the World' song is so bad, this is the end of lostprophets as we know it. Excuse me whilst I play Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja and Burn, Burn.

Posted by Tom | November 23, 2009 10:05 PM | Reply to this

Have you seen their new video?, it just proves how shallow they are by jumping on every shitty teen scene bandwagon

Just another British wannabe American, Homosexual Disco Band

Posted by Mr Know-It-All | November 23, 2009 11:43 PM | Reply to this

Ian tweeted saying this isn't the real artwork.

The wrong one got leaked. Therefore if you think this is shite, it's because it's not the real one :D

I'm a HUGE Lostprophets fan, and I can't wait to hear The Betrayed. I've been hearing songs off it live for 2 years now, and I just want to hear the whole thing.

Don't judge it by what you've heard.
Dstryr, Dstryr and Next Stop Atrocity are amazing songs. As is the next single Where We Belong. Streets of Nowhere is also fantastic.

In my eyes, January and February can't come quick enough! :(

I actually like American, Homosexual Disco Bands.

its not the greatest but no the worst ive seen, i think they should of kept the album art from its not the end of the world and just changed the name down the bottom cause that art work looked sexy

jajajajaja that cover looks terrible, i would prefer the eagle instead of their "Queen" faces like in "rhapsody bohemian" I think lostprophet's best ive ever seen was "Start Something" damn that album was awesome!!!!!

Posted by antoine | December 7, 2009 10:01 PM | Reply to this

This is rarther self-obsessed to be honest. Why put the faces on it? It's not like we don't know what they look like. However I do think the crow concept is cool, but not that original. Hopefully the album won't dissapoint.

Lostprophets are a good band, in fact one of my favourite. But if you compare Goodbye Tonight and Where We Belong you can't help but notice he's become a bit of twat lately, I mean seriously, he spends at least 45 seconds on camera playing with his hair...

right, well I personally think the album cover is damn right cool. and if you don't like it.. then you obviously ain't a true fan? because if you were, you wouldn't be moaning about the 'shitty cover' because it's the music that counts-not the bloody artwork on the front?! do we listen to music via the cover? um, no. that's what the cd is for. now shut it and just wait until the album comes out, yeah?
love the artwork guys-it's very atmospheric. :D xxx
