well actually i've seen Green Day live twice and they are AMAZING!!!!!!! it wasn't just music it was a complete show!!!!!!!!

I've seen Green day and Muse, and Muse dicked all over Green Day

In my opinion, both Green Day and Muse are amazing. But I have to say Green Day are my favourite as a lot of Muse's songs sound the same to me, especially the slower ones. And when I saw Muse live, they said about two words to the audience. Whereas look at Green Day, moving into the actual crowd and bringing crowd members onto the stage.. you don't get much more crowd interaction than that. And to Jordan, you're calling these people 'stupid little green day fan' when you're the one who claims that Muse are the best because they were the first to play Wembley? Surely just because they were the first ones to do so, doesn't make them the best. Bit childish to think that to be honest..

So. With me here, being a huge fan of both of Green Day and Muse, I have a couple of things to say.
1. There is no doubt that Green Day and Muse are the best live bands out there. Green Day, on one hand, have more crowd interaction than Muse, and perhaps a better sound.
2. Muse has, and I say this with no disrespect towards Green Day fans, more mature music than Green Day. Sure, Green Day have grown up to be more mature in music than before(some may speak of this as selling out, which I think is far from the truth), but let's just face the fact that Muse has more mature music.
3. I read a comment on here before that Green Day sucked because they write about politics and issues in the society of the modern world, but isn't that kind of like what Muse are also doing? I mean, not "exactly" what they're doing, but hey.. Apocalypse, and killing.. Really turns out the same to me. Also, I heard somewhere that The Resistance(album) was written about the financial depression we have today.
4. I personally feel Green Day to be better live band(and I say this having seen neither Green Day or Muse live, only recordings).
My friend actually went to their show in the House of Blues in Boston recently, and he had the time of his life.
5. Which brings me to another subject: Personal likings. Not everybody has the same taste in music, and surely not in the way music is brought forward on stage. This is all very personal; one may like Green Day while the other likes Muse. That's just the way things are, and I find it to be very pointless to be arguing about something so personal.
Bottom line: If you're only posting hate comments on here, stop it, it's lame + internet arguing is kind of very silly.

Sure, Green day have a good live show, but their new album is bad. As for Muse, they used to be unbelievable live. However, after their Resistance (to write any more good songs), their setlists have been shit.

red hot chili peppers- by the way

back after you've listen to these bands
instead of wanking over the bands like

fall out boy
lostprophets
paramore

although all the people who listen to these bands are 13 or 14 and probably havent discovered what wanking is yet...... in that case why not go ask your uncle to touch you in the areas that your curious about :D

lulz i went to muse wembley the sunday show!
bloody excellent gig bar MCR which are actually the worse band ive heard live, gerards singing was so screechy and the sound they were making sounded so timmy or dull they even beat a few local bands i hear down the pub :S

but anyway muse excellent live but not my favorite, green day havent had the pleasure to see them live so cant comment on them!

however the best band i have seen is a band not many might of heard off
devil sold his soul i havent managed to beat them, incubus didnt, lost prophets etc

i dont see how you can actually compare muse and green day, sure green day are really good but for me they have just ruined it after 21st century breakdown. id personally love to see muse they are a much better band

It is so funny reading threads like this, if you don't like Muse that much or any other particular band for that matter why take the time out to say you don't like them!

I have seen Green Day twice (MK Bowl in 2005 & NEC a few weeks ago) & Muse once (Wembley Stadium on the Sat). & have just recently bought tickets to see Green Day at Wembley, Im possibly considering one of these Muse gigs as well.

But I have to say, they are both great bands live, in their own unique way - as they obviously play different types of music. Green Day are my personal favourites as punk rock is my favourite sort of rock music.

I would like to back Muse here;
First of all, Muse are a great band who hold a bit of everything and I have to say Absolution is effing brilliant album and so is black holes and revelations. The Resistance is absolutely breathtaking!! Origin is great aswell, Showbiz is a bit shit here and there, but that was their first album! Muse can be atacked with SOME of their covers like Prague, which is a bit bad. I'm going to se them on Saturday 11th, the only time i have managed to get tickets and i can say thats about £104 well spent! Secondly, I would like to say Muse do cover a range of topics through their lyrics, which reach out to people more than others. Mature topics which younger people may not understand! This is where Green Day come swimming in, bigging themselves up and talking about mature topics, but for younger people. Green Day are meant to be a 'Punky' band, but just sound a bit poppy (reference; 'Know Your Enemy') and to be honest, IT SOUNDS SHIT! My fiend (who i shal leave nameless) LOVES Green Day, but likes Muse. She has seen Green Day live a lot of times, whether this is true or not i do not know but i give people the benefit of the doubt, but she is going to see Muse live in September, and doesnt know the name of the songs?! Bloody OUTRAGEOUS!

Overall MUSe are better than Green Day, however, Muse can not live up to bands such as Pink Floyd, simply because they're not them! Muse are who they are and are simply FANTASTIC!

Saw both Muse Green Day in November and they were both amazing live.

Green Day seem to put on a show where as with Muse, it's all about the music.

Both are as good as each other.
