This is possibly the worst news in the world to wake up to. Jesus Christ, twenty-eight years old. Jimmy is one of the best drummers I've ever heard, a living legend. I never got the chance to see Avenged Sevenfold in concert, and my thoughts are with them and his wife at this time.

This is so messed up. I was an Avenged fan for a few years and saw them 6 times. They were my idols and Jimmy was the last member of the band that I truly respected. He was one of my heroes.

What an absolute legend. His talent and music touched so many lives that i guess we can take comfort in knowing he will live on in the iTunes libraries of people with actual taste. All of our generations icons are dying which just shows that life is just one fucking thing after another and there is no point trying to make sense of the utter random chaos of the universe.

Im crying as I type. This is just such a shock. Avenged sevenfold are one of my favourite bands ever and his death is devasting for me and probably alot of other fans. 2 days after Christmas aswell. He was a truely magnificent drummer and his contribution to avenged sevenfold will never be forgotten. Best wishes to the rest of the band, his wife and his family. Stay strong. And I totally agree with Ade, Kerrang BETTER do a piece on him. He was amazing.

From a long time fan- The world has lost a true free thinker, an amazing musician and a wondeful guy with an enormous heart. He was only scratching the surface of his potential. when i got an email from the rev fanpage on facebook, i thought it was a cruel joke. but since i found out its true i cant stop crying. avenged sevenfold are my favourite band and jimmy was an absolute inpiration to me. i completley idolised him as a musician and as a person. half of me cant take it in. but he will always live on thru his league of fans and thru avenged sevenfold. to me he shall always be a legend, i think a fitting tribute to him wud be for his friends to open the bar he always wanted. and for the band to eventually carry on, i think he would want that. jimmy my brother, when i look into the night sky u will be the brightest star shining down on us. icant believe this he was the greatest drummer ever to have graced us with his talent and he has been snatch away from us, he will forever be in our hearts and thourght! he is with dimebad darrel now rocking out may he rest in peace and all his family and friends grive in peace and remember the good times they had with jimmy! the band dint just loose a band member but also and best friend! it is so sad but may we all remember the music jimmy gave to us and the crazyness he shared to make life around him memerable
